Who thinks that all that randomness in a strategic game is a good idea? you get shoehorned into a type because of random artifacts, some towers get useless upgrades (+2% critdamage?! You are aware that you need 500% critchance for that to be equal to the strength upgrade?), others get alchemist and strength and are then your go-to. The tower unlock is random, with the option to even not get a new one to begin with. It is okay to have things like the relic unlock order or minor boni to be random, but the stuff where you actually should be making decisions should just not be randomly made for you. Artifacts essentially are a game-defining amount of bonus and they are a 1-time thing with no option to redo them. And the bundle that pretty much lets you skip all the progression is the same price as rimworld+dlc. You mobile dev guys really need to get back to earth.

There should at least be a hint in the autobuilding research that you need a barracks to even interact with the feature AND it removes the autoplacing. It will take me at least a day of farming to get 1M blueprints to start idling again. This looks like a huge oversight.

Developer response from Barbasu

Refresh the game, there were a few updates fixing that. It should autobuild even without Barracks.

(3) That might sound overly negative, but i would suggest to go to the drawing board again before adding more like the stuff you already have and think how to make the game interesting to experiment in / the best solution not so obvious. Plain buffs are more often than not black-white, so are massive negatives (Stacking buffs either works, or it is useless; leaving a row empty either works or it doesnt, etc...).

(2)You should think about other systems that make it interesting: I.e. Add some ressources. Building a mushroom gives biomass and other cards need that to produce more gold. Have some form of other limitation other that space: Have new field that you can fill with "spare" cards to do something. Skeletons dig graves that give you +1 space, higher tier cards give better boni and you need that space to fit in the more powerful cards. I am also not a fan of random packs to buy cards. I rather have unlocks and be limited by something else. Just as variation of your current game: Have a space limit that can be extended by a secondary board (same cards can have different effects there) and unlock cards by semi-logic placement of the ones you have (think doodle god). Placement of cards is limited by gold or maybe even additional ressources that you need other cards for. An active component could be ressource collecting with one "build" and another build for better income to consume ressources.

(1) I think there are a few fundamental problems with the mechanics as it is now. 1. The game is too easy to solve. 2. There are already mechanics that are design-limiting. ( 3. No active component - which is a valid choice, but is seen more negative by most idle players i know) To 1 and 2: Right now it is stacking the best card or buff the heck out of 1 card and fill rest with most efficient option. The conditional effects should be the go-to like your "Need mush for bonus", but waaay more involved. Disabling a whole row/col or all cards seem like a bad idea entirely: Either it works and you can see that in 1 moment or it does not and that seems like a bad design philosophy going forward. Adding more space for cards does not solve this by the way.

Want to know what makes this puzzle waaaayyy too easy? go into Level 9 hard - choose the 2 "+" hints and you only find 1 place for them. Now you already have 4 anchors in 4 of 7 available rows and columns - it will be trivial from there on. There are way too many different icons to find, so it becomes more of a "find the only available spot it fits" instead of a logic puzzle. That is also the reason the earlier levels are "harder" - because there you actually need to use some deduction, well, if there would be less hints that is.

Are you sure you are not missing a few zeroes in the might we get on level 10 spellupgrades? The costs get ridicolous, but the might we get is almost as low as ever. There is no reason you cut down my faith generation by an order of magnitude just because i got more faith production. 50k faith needed for 100 might?! I would also like a way to arrange the people in the houses (esp important for multiple fanatics per house). It could also be an option to sort the menu mess. Also as a more fundamental design question: I highly dislike the punishment for misclicks and the active play variant you use. 1. If you misclick you may kill a few k of faith fanatic without any compensation. Why is this even a "feature"? 2. Being punished by set back to hour 0 by forgetting a guard or missing an event that comes every 60 secs is really questionable design for anything with an "idle" tag. Maybe consider more of a reward-system for active play instead of punishing missing attention.

Developer response from TristanMX

Hi Iluya, to be honest the design is in process, I just posted it expecting nothing as a personal test project and got popular very very fast so there are features non-developed yet that definitely must be there, as you may have noticed I upload updates almost every day according to how statistics are moving and also considering recommendations like yours. It seemed fun at the beginning to have the possibility to strike your followers, but then a "meta" was created where main unit is fanatic and now all spins around its functionality and no-one wants to miss one. I'll upgrade it in short term and the next feature will be permanent rewards faith on different spells/units/bonuses. This is a sort of a clicker game with strategy (not thought as full clicker from the start), but is not well balanced yet because of all I said. Thanks a lot for playing! I'm taking each point you made, specially spell might reward after lvl 10.

There isn't even enough content to judge if it will be worth continuing. I mean it is working and pretty much what i would expect from a "Civ"-Idle game, but the interesting design choices are not in there yet. A few things to consider: 1) Don't punish people for letting idle. Have some assistants: Foodsurplus is negative? AI attacks - Protection? 2) Do you want to have a "linear" expansion experience with set "army powers" to overcome? Semi-random alliances between the other nations? 3) Prestige? If so: What metagame is there? Faster progression? Getting old and has balancing problems. Branching culture is a start, but ppl will figure out the minmax way in a few days. Consider a more rogue-lite attempt where there is a fail-state and the resets get you advantages. 4) World map? Interactions with city enviroment? intercity interactions? Probably not an easy thing to attach to this prototype. Just continue - worst thing that can happen is you learn a thing or two ;)

can you please implement an alternative control schema for QWERTZ-keyboards (y and z are switched and yxc is horrible to play)?

Really like the unique gamestyle. There is a pretty big balancing issue, you run into @1b+ population. I think you get there, when buying kinda always the cheapest reseach available. You are able to beat the 45+ West sectors, that give you 2bil food. I was at ~1bil pop at that point and that just messed up everything. Now i am at the point, where it just doesnt matter, what i do for the next 20+ hours, because i will not have enough ressources (wood+money) to supply my population. I cannot control my foodamount per farmworkers. Im trying to kinda "reduce" my population by going to war. While that "works", it trivializes the game to a pure genefarm with no option to buy anymore research or weaponfabs. A "simple" fix for that would be an option to limit ressourcegain from captured countries.

Okay.. Here are some constructive Tips for your next game. Do a bit of math to balance stuff. If you just work with linear progression you run into trouble either in the duration or # of upgrades to the end. Esp in an idle game you want some sort of mild exponential growth. In this one i click every 5 seconds on the right button to be as efficient as possible. Also look for some diversity and plenty of upgrades...People sink maybe soo much time into your game - you cannot imagine :) While i like that you aim for a unique art style - There are pictures out there under CC-BY license, that you can use, if you give a little credit.
