The affection levels on girls is extremely low for the later dates and gifts they want. For example, Quill needed 12k affection, a plushy doll gift, and a sight seeing date. Sight seeing alone net 17k affection, and a plushy doll is over 4x the 12k affection requirement
Dates should either take much longer and actually force the player to idle for a bit, or they shouldn't cost time blocks. Stopping from working or doing a hobby for 15 seconds to then have to go back and turn it back on just feels like extra work and I don't feel like it does anything in the fun department, and doesn't add any real difficulty to the game.
Perhaps you could add a feature to click to speed up hobby and job progress for those who want to idle less? Personally, I'm an idler, but even for an idler, some of these things are taking so long that I *want* to click 400 times to speed it up, and I don't usually get that reaction from an idler, so you must be doing something right. Keep up the good work ^_^
This probably would have been popular in Newgrounds back in the 00s, but it is clearly the work of a newbie developer. I can almost see you using every bit of game development knowledge at your command in this game, you just need more knowledge ;)
Don't give up.
I was worried I might trade in my Sharp Scimitar for something wooden, but I honestly didn't expect my character to trade in his weapon for a Dancing Club. I wonder what he named it and what the clientele is like... Good like, Johnson, in your new future investment as a dance club owner. Don't get caught up in the drug scene, buddy.
This game supports animal abuse, objectifying women, alcoholism, religious cults, homelessness, emotional disorders, racism, and quite possibly incest. 5/5, please keep the updates coming!
Clerics like Veradux. "Kill the enemy with 1 hp left, or heal my ally missing 1hp? Better heal."
None of us will ever be happy. Still, great game, been here since it came out, and I plan to stick around, since you have obviously been putting in the work. A+ ^_^
Thank you for playing and commented. Yes you're right, this is my second game, I'm still learning about creating games.
