I got super far, with a massive system to distribute the heat perfectly. Then I placed one too many towers and suddenly the massive reactor I had been building for over an hour was instantly destroyed. There need to be a save ability.
Beating this with England is actually fairly easy. Just pool everything in England on your first turn, recruit a ton of people in England, and attack Normandy IMMEDIATELY. Don't even try to take the British Isles first. Then, just spend all of your money on Militia. No research of any kind, no other units. Swarm France, put up a defense in the west while the Moors and Spanish fight each other, and crush Germany with massive amounts of militia. Then, all you have to do is turn to the west and obliterate them with nothing but militia.
