The rebalance has actually made my dependence on primarily Oxygen, Cheese, and Colonies worse. Before 93% of my income was coming from these three industries. Now 95% is coming from them. Unless the other industries can generate a larger portion of total income, the angel investor upgrades for the other industries are completely useless. Major rebalancing is still needed.
REQUEST: The cost for new upgrades increase exponentially while the effect those upgrades provide are not. Adding another 100% to something at the 15th upgrade is really only adding around 7%. Thus, the game is becoming a very long grind to be able to earn the next barely useful upgrade or even longer to focus on heat generation and earn enough EP for the next Exotic Upgrade.
The suggestion would be to increase the effectiveness of the upgrades or decrease the exponential rise in the cost of the upgrades.
ENHANCEMENT REQUEST: When viewing the upgrades, I would like to see in raw numbers what the upgrade will do. For example, I would like to see that the Ultimate Heat Vent is increasing from 100B to 110B. Sometimes an upgrade won't actually help you and seeing what the effect would be before buying it would be helpful. Saying that something increases 100% is meaningless when the actual increase is really maybe a 10% increase in what you are currently generating.
Before the last update, the inlets/outlets were uselessly underpowered in late stage. Now the tier 5 is uselessly overpowered in late stage and the tier 4 is so much less that neither one is helpful. It would be nice if the Outlets would only transfer as much heat as the components they are connected to can handle, obviously maxing out at whatever tier you buy. Right now 4 vents on an Outlet immediately blow all the vents.
The new Cash Per Sec stat is only the theoretical cash as it assumes all of the speed doublings happened properly, which they still are not, and I assume you are still working on this. Separate Suggestion: Have the Cash Per Sec stat display every other cycle with the time remaining. For those who haven't reach the max speed, they probably still want to see this.
@Patchess - That's because Oil pays every 9 seconds at max speed. It shows 8 at each payment cycle reset because it is showing the truncated amount of time left before the next payment cycle.
Here are all of the LS achievement increases I calculated:
25 LS - 2x
50 LS - 1.875x
100 LS - 1.833x
200 LS - 1.697x
300 LS - 1.531x
400 LS - 1.886x
I calculated these by comparing my total money at the beginning and the end of a minute. I know that my Angel Investors are being factored in properly with no other upgrades.
Also, the achievement milestones for all properties being at 25, 50, etc. doubling the speed appears to be calculating properly at 2x.
Does anyone know what I am missing or what the issue is?
I have been trying to properly model the actual money increases I am receiving. My model was calculating too high by about 1.3x, so I analyzed just the Lemonade Stands (LS) and I am a bit confused. Each of the achievement milestones is supposed to achieve "Speed of Lemonade Stand profits doubled". I was able to infer that the base speed for 1-24 LS is 0.625 seconds per cycle. Therefore, one minute of income generation should be 96 cycles and the total income would be 96 times whatever the income per LS is. At 25 LS the speed increase appears to calculate properly at 192 cycles per minute (96 x 2), however at the next achievement of 50 LS it appears to be paying only around 360 cycles per minute, which is 1.875x rather than a doubling. Again at 100 LS the increase is up to around 660 cycles or a 1.8333x increase.
Well that update just made my current spreadsheet model useless. Back to the drawing board. Happy for the update though as I was getting close to being able to buy all of the upgrades.
It was hard starting but once I realized I didn't need engine at all I finished the game with around 1/130/65. With the whole flying in one direction thing it was funny at the end of one of the last levels I had a swirling mass of around 20 green balls chasing me.
We are indeed - thanks for sticking with us. (We'll add a toggle for the Cash Per Sec in a future update).
