So unlike everyone else looks like I actually got to play this one and like damn it is just not fun. The tactical element is clicking on the right enemies but like the lack of funding is a challenge that is also bypassed by watching ads, it's a very strange decision. Is the game purposefully boring and dull to simulate the boring dull, yet failure-prone nature of being a developer's whipping boy? You could pretend to be a business mogul in a clicker game and end up feeling better about that. Or you just hand over our time to watch ads and not even have to care about the degree of challenge in which case why does it matter anyway? No matter how I slice it this game is just not fun and hard to give any kind of positive feedback for. It's not funny, there's not enough writing to appreciate the mechanics are extremely shallow and there's no reason to want to finish it. Good luck dev, looks like you've been given some extra expectations.
Thanks for your honest thoughts, it may sound strange but they're very appreciated.
If I'm hearing you right, the problems are: 1) it's boring, 2) it's too difficult without the ads, 3) it's too easy with ads, 4) there's not enough writing, 5) it's not funny, 6) no reason to progress. My first instinct (also based on numbers we're seeing): balance was probably off in the last update. Coins should be scarce to encourage careful management, but very probable we overshot into making them frustratingly rare. Same with ads, goal was a slightly convenient and helpful bonus, never to only prevail by watching ads. My hunch is 1) is caused by 2) and 3) and you can bet we're going to be looking at balance. 4) agreed, writing is something we plan to address. 5) point taken, to the extent we were trying to be funny we probably didn't succeed. 6) I absolutely believe you it feels shallow, what I'd love to get to the bottom of is whether it feels that way because of 1, 2 and 3 or other factors.
If there will be more complains about this - we will drop it. For now you can just set autoclicker interval a bit higher (2-3x / s)
