Frequently having some weird combat bug where the enemy runs straight through my character then off the screen, causes really weird interactions and me to take constant ticks of damage almost always getting me slaughtered
5 star game
But
Kind of frustrating that it is impossible to "100%" the game in completing the research tree. Even if you filled the entire map with (maxed) libraries in a pretty optimal matter and popped a great scientist, 10 billion (of which there are several) research isn't even somewhat attainable, not to mention the trillion luxury nodes. Let alone building a proper library supply chain that then links to a central "library center" in a manner that actually would make sense gameplay wise (not throwing everything just to fill the map with libraries). 50mil storage is what I've got with a "logical" setup, which locks me out of several 100mil upgrades, but I'm not going to buy a great scientist so I have no interest in just filling an island with libraries to try and hit 100mil.
@evoluchien It tells you multiple times that you're going to have to think it through for this game, which involves trial and error. If you don't know what something does, build it and find out. You gain more population by building more houses (as long as you current population is decently employed), houses come before population in this game (admittedly, it took me 10 mins to figure this out when I started). Virtually all your early game buildings aside from basic resource producers like water/tree/mining will become obsolete, which is great because it allows you to continually do more with your space available. The game is basically a colony sim, it is up to you how optimized you want to be. The only "idle" periods of the game are when you've built on everything available to you and are waiting for research to build up so you can unlock new tech to continue building/upgrading/expanding your infrastructure/supply chain.
The AP mechanic is not enjoyable and becomes exhaustingly annoying when you get a slime debuff. Adventure mode's balance is questionable at best because the optimal way to do it is to *almost* crack/clear all the AP obstacles (stones/trees/river/explore/jar) but NOT trigger any of them because if you get the poison debuff before you've found an herb you're just dead, and the aforementioned Slime debuff for AP makes clearing the adventure miserable, not to mention the slew of other negative modifiers obviously but they don't matter as much.
Whys the internet so dramatic, this many people mad over a single badge of the day not working due to Kongregate trying to add a fun new *unpaid* chat feature, on the very first day of its implementation. Nobody has any understanding or patience unless its for the view they desire to hold.
had to change to a 1 star rating for the MTX so drastically effecting gameplay and having no free option (i.e. ads) of obtaining the MTX bonus. very disappointed. wouldn't be an issue if the mtx wasn't insanely overpowered.
Decent gameplay, but making the left/right dodges eat special energy make the game an artificial grind by forcing you to die many times simply to grind gems, especially in the early goings. If there are 30 bullets coming at me, you have to give me the ability to attempt to live, not just helplessly sit and spam my left/right arrow keys as I die.
You need to manage your special better! Try and blast groups of enemies so you don't waste special. Also try and dodge easier bullet patters instead of rolls. Also, the damage buff wrecks house so you should not waste special if you see one coming. I have beaten the game from New Game till the end on hardcore without dying once. Use a little strategy and manage your meter!!
gun shooting is very unreliable, sometimes it doesnt shoot, then 5 seconds later you sit there unloading and can't move causing you to waste large amounts of time
Random towers getting blown up 2 at a time that clearly arent being shot at is really getting old. Like a vira healer in the middle of my base. Getting level 7 towers blown up is not my idea of fun. No rare towers have blown up yet, must be a coding error.
Second comment, forgot to say that this game is one of the best flash/unityx games I've played.
Couple things I've found:
It appears that when you click stop engine, you start to creep backwards. I stopped my engine in sector 5 and have slowly been getting closer to one of the warp gates and farther from the other one.
Also, in the job section, one of my jobs was to get some dynex, but the picture was of plasite though I believe, so I go to complete the job and it would not let me. It definitely was not that I needed more of the resource or misread the job description, I had around 5800 dynex. I have not tried bringing the resource in the picture.
One more thing you could tweak is when you use an afterburner and run out of energy, your energy stays at 0 and your speed stays at the 0.1, even though you should be regaining energy going that slow. If you stop the engine though, you regain energy. Appreciate the reply to my last comment, and look forward to any and all future updates!
yes, this did change things a bit when i allowed for multiple modules of same type. however, with the upcoming warp drives, you will need fuel again to jump around.
Thank you for your feedback
