Battle for Blood

Like it, but I don't know how to get three stars. We also need a bit more gold from grinding.

Not only is this game super laggy, but I literally fell through the bottom of the world while standing on solid ground. This game just needs to be finished, right now its too buggy to even play.

Energy system? Automatic 1/5. I refuse to play a game with an energy system. Probably the one of the most annoying money grab tactics ever invented.

It's actually easier to commit suicide than to refresh the page to restart a level. No restart/back to menu button? How annoying.

I ended up quiting because the of the exploding barrels. I'm playing all careful like, and most of the way through then... blam the entire screen goes red and I'm dead. Not injured... dead. Half the time the giant barrel piles look like any other object, making it nigh on impossible to avoid hitting them unless I forfeit hitting anything. Good game, liked it just can't stand dying to the barrels all the time.

This game has clunky controls. Up should jump, space fly. It would also be nice to be able to move forward and back. Further more it would nice to be able to move forward or back a little. Overall I felt that this was a pretty generic game all in all.

Tip for the final map: Go maxed out saws and machine guns 3/2 on a side. I tried heavy and lightning 3 or 4 times and lost each one. Saws and machine guns won it for me on the first try.

Why oh why is that a repeat day button, rather than just a play the map again (next day button). I played the same map 15 times, and was confused on why I had only made a single days worth of cash.

It would really be nice if we could purchase the castle upgrades ourselves...

Really liked this game. Original precept. What I would like to see most is a way to track how much gold was produced out of a spot. I am reasonably sure that I lost a lot of potential income based on forgetting which squares produced gold (in addition to the best one).

I liked game quite a bit overall. More light/brightness (why would you conduct all your missions at night when you can't see?) would be good. Might also include the purchase of ammo as I started off trying to be precise, but devolved into a spray and pray mode. Biggest complaint? Zombies should never, ever have guns.... it's just not right.

Great game, awesome levels, and engaging story. The 1st underwater level is evil though. Throwing an additional dimension at us is cool. Moving targets? Ouch. I unabashedly and extensively used the hints system (which I'm glad was included).

Looks like there is a bug with the load/save. I accidentally upgraded too fast in the first game and failed. Then started a new game. Had to stop for a while, so I quit to the main menu. When I hit continue, I had all of the upgrades and employees I got in the first game, but the territories loaded correctly.

Odd bug. I turned off all sound/sound effects but the x2 damage seems to be exempt. Oops?

Developers should be strongly discouraged for asking for their game to be rated a 5 for reasons other than gameplay. We all understand that there are "real world" constraints on development, but sympathy is not what the rating system is about. Better game == better rating.

Developer Reply

I guess I should clarify. What we are requesting is that players not hold ratings ransom, in other words give low ratings until their requested feature is implemented. ie. "I would have given you 4/5 but right now 1/5 until you add flying pony guns!"That's what we are trying to discourage as it won't allow us to add flying pony guns, it just tears the game down- it's not proactive. If you think the game is a rated something else on it's merits, by all means rate away. All that said, I don't know why it matters. It's not like we are creating multiple accounts or cheating or anything. We can't make anyone vote 5 (my mind control powers are still n00b). Nobody gets up in arms when the contestants on American Idol say "vote for me!" We put in a ton of work into this project, we aren't looking for sympathy, we're only saying "vote for us!"

I found it interesting that nuke + napalm wipes the map where nuke + lightning kills you.

I enjoyed this game quite a bit. Mowing down hordes of zombies really made my night. I did hate going "down" on the map since the screen/map seemed to extend past the menu at the bottom. The zombies could see me, but I couldn't see them because the menu was in the way. As others have noted, I also used the pistol all the way through, it was so powerful nothing else was needed.

Controls are just as irritating as when I first played it. The whole shoot trail + mouse hold thing just isn't effective. There is a reason why wasd + mouse look is popular... because it works. Other than the controls, a decently fun shooter.
