Heyah mate. Sadly – there won’t be any Antumbra 2 ever. With wife, two kids and fulltime job – I simply do not have time. Plus – Steam pretty much killed indies in recent update, couple of months ago. So now there no justification for me to spend months of work on a game that barely anybody will play. Sorry :(

Antumbra is a finished game. I mean it’s not unfinished and i rarely say that. That’s to say I encountered no bugs, no flaws, and everything i would like has been thought of. I don’t even know if there’s a mute button because it was one of the few games i didn’t need one. I didn’t even look for it. It’s very sad that i can’t donate for Antumbra 2. At least yet. I think Antumbra is unique in its style and it captured me from the title screen and every time it made me want to keep on going and/or try again. I read the description on your Dev Vlog and you’re so right – the adventure/point and click genre has been extremely degraded and i hate that. I am from the time of monkey island and legend of kyrandia and simon the sorcerer and gobliins (yes that wasn’t a typo) and i could go on and on. And simply because of the fact point and click games have been degraded so much, even in Antumbra i was looking for the obvious solution. When i saw your solutions required actually thinking about it and observing and reading it got me so excited!! The only thing i would argue against is the concept of dying in an adventure game and having to restart – what i would wish is that it continues there (if you’ve ever played “wrath of gods” you know what i mean – btw that was an excellent game) in a twisted kind of an underworld. Maybe a hell from which you can escape. I would also love it if it included carrying items, although Antumbra specifically didn’t need items. Carry on the good work my friend. I’ve tried spreading the word personally but i live in a country where people don’t really care for thinking too much when they play a game – or at least i haven’t found the right crowd :P

Well yes and no. I am actually against a walkthrought for a game like this, but I know its unavoidable. Thats why i’ve that Walkthought video. So at least i can earn a dolalr or two.

Hey man, just found Antumbra thanks to Markiplier. Just wanted to say, amazing game, and I do quite agree, doesn’t get nearly close the amount of respect it deserves around here. Looking forward to seeing more from your amazingly twisted mind.
Don’t worry bro! There much more of that from where it came from :D Antumbra is just 3 months of my life, compressed into a game. And i am 30 years old – I won’t run out of ammo anytime soon :)

After getting to #1 spot on IndieDB, being featured on BOTH Newgrounds and Gamejolt… I think I am ready to start an IndieGoGo campaign for Antumbra 2.
Not really to get my life funded heh. But to do justice to Antumbra 2. Because you guys make me happy. Incredibly happy.
And honestly ? This is the true reason behind that IndieGoGo idea. Because I don’t want to make “another” Antumbra. No. I want to make THE Antumbra. I want it to be as good as possible. I want to use all my skills, experience, knowledge and talent. To grant you the most wonderful experience I am capable of providing. Because you are worth it. You deserve it. Because you made and keep making me very happy. And I cannot live without you guys. I need you. I love talking to you. Writing back. Replying to emails, messages and reviews. And I want to continue doing that. But sadly life is life. Bills needs to be paid, food has to be bought. And I cannot focus on just one game for almost half a year without any form of financial backing.
And you know what? I might make another YouTube video for the Medals only. Bear with me. I’ll try to make it in a day or two.
BTW- Shame I had not gained some more popularity on Kongregate :( This place… Changed. I see only casual games getting any success over here now. Anything more ambitious then “cookie clicker clones” just sink under the stream of those…
