Continuing from anony mouse's comment: 5 is probably the branches' length, and 6 is omething about che curves (with a high number the branches are more straight, with a low number they are more contorted). 8 is actually the difference in width from trunk to branches while 9 is the curve, and i don't know what 18 is but is something about outline color variation
This game is not about disregarding virtue and such like, is about using your brain instead of mindlessly follow the rules. If you think about it, some random spirit just appeared in front of you and gave you a silly order, without giving you any motivation and not even a hint of what consequences this act will have on you, him, or the community. What if he was an evil spirit? You can't just go and follow the orders, you need to think about what you're doing.
"Dark Emperor, we spot the rebels!" "Oh great, Captain, where are they, in a secret base?" "Actually... They are at the arena" "You mean they are training to become stronger?" "no, they are fighting between themselves" "WHAT? Why should them?" "I'm not sure, it seems that the winner will lead the troops" "WHICH troops? They'll all be dead!" "I don't know, my lord." "Rebels..."
"I woke up in a room I never have seen before" don't worry, it's usual in point-and-click games. "This definitely looks like one of those room-escape games" ...Ok, i wasn't expecting that one.
There's no way I'm blindly following a mysterious man through an unknown town, I might end up in front of a scary crow/bunny/whatever! I'll explore the other rroms before. Let's see, there's a tunnel here... *dark tunnel, RATS written on the wall* ...ok, I'll blindly follow the mysterious man.
SPOILER AHEAD!
...
*Finds Anthony's hanging corpse with a letter in his hand*
Ok, calm down, now I read the letter and then the game finishes, no more scary stuff appearing around
*the crows break the window*
AAAARGHHQAWEDRDXTCAEWJNHBD!!
Is it a person? Is it a spirit? Who knows? It was just added as a bit of horror.
