@GabeW109, you encountered some corrosive (orange) slimes I think. Every now and then, they corrode your weapon -1. The game would have told you, but messages can be easy to miss. It's best to kill these from a distance!
Wish I had an option to see the blocks from up close - the art looks really great! But it can be very hard to make out at this size. Maybe a big popup the first time you unlock a new block? Or just an option to click on them in your block list?
Very fun! Melody 5 (green) is my favorite. Would love to see more varied backgrounds - the difference between options is minimal to the point where it's a little disappointing.
Absolutely fantastic game that had to grow on me - but it sure did! Only minor gripe I have is that it seemed like a fair portion of the "outfits" were only unlocked towards the very very end of the game, when I was already almost done. Didn't even see any dragon attributes beyond the gloves, nor any royal outfits until I'd already beaten in once. An inevitable downside to the fast-paced and random nature I'm sure. Or maybe I just got gut too fast lmao.
Really well done! Interesting new take I had never seen before!
Yea you're definitely right about that and I felt bad for the artist cuz only the last set drops in the last area lol. I think there could be some more upgrades in a future version to maybe shift them to the left more to get them earlier, and of course I'd have to rebalance the game to account for that but no worries, I totally agree. But yea I'm glad you picked up on the gameplay and that the game goes into turbomode at the end and tests a gamer skillset that isn't really tested often: rapid loot decision-making ;)
@AlexNeb, those kinds of gates don't require a key. Instead, there's a lever somewhere on that level. Once you find and pull it, the gate blocking the stairs will be gone ;)
I really like this game, the simplicity & execution of concept and the gameplay! For improvements I'd like a visual distinction what gameplay each piece of equipment belongs to - it can be a bit of a chore to find newly unlocked ones :)
Also the tutorial is a bit vague & incomplete, but I do believe that's an intentional part of the concept? The game's mostly pretty straightforward anyway.
I really appreciate the dev's open honesty about not being able to finish the game. It's really refreshing - I hate waiting for updates that never come! That said, while the bare bones & artwork that ARE there are pretty decent/promising, There's not all that much gameplay here. Let's all treat it like a learning exercise, and look forward to your next work!
Thank you very much! I came back to game development this year and already got much experience. Kongregate shutdown really hit me, but im motivated now again, so i hope i will do something cool soon! You comment motivated me much!
Superfun game, original concept, fun multitude of paintings! Does get a bit slow towards the end, as the paintings take quite long to complete. Maybe this is due to the slower low-ranking ants? idunno, but it was a fun game all the same. 5/5
Great game! Took me about 6 hours to complete. One small gripe: I had all but two achievements when I completed the game. Getting Elite Hoarder wasn't all that difficult, but I'm still only at about 27.000/100.000 for Elite Excavator. Don't think I'll be getting that, it's just far, far beyond regular gameplay/fun for me. My completionist heart aches lol.
I nearly cried when I saw my first cow asteroid. That's the funniest goddamn shit. Also quality design, they're like 7 pixels, and still absolutely recognizable. 5/5!
