Answering the questions in the last two posts seen bellow this one. @alastair19092002: in monster lab you can use either crystals OR gold plus material that you collect by farming the quests. It takes either a very long time playing OR a lot of money for purchasing and using crystals. @ashwinrajendra: in order to collect Battle Points quickly you should play in the Arena against FARMS (farm500, farm1000, farm2500 etc. see forums for details). Besides, if you cannot afford the Battle Points, yet, that means your level is still awfully low for Cave of Trial. I am level 2400+ and I have completed 6 out of 8 caves, and now I can actually farm the first two.

Early and middle game is hard enough for players that have just started. The annihilator is really devastating but by the time I unlocked it I did not need it as I had learned all nifty tricks of the game. Suggestion to the Developer: to improve the planning capabilities of the player allow ordering ships to either “defend base” (fly within build area) or “full attack”. I believe such an option would vastly improve the gaming experience and re-playability. I probably enjoyed it even more for being a Starcraft fan.

The impossible badge is doable. It needs a lot of time and tactical thinking though. Apart from Storm Alligator’s walkthroughs that you will find on YouTube, you will also find very useful tips on how to beat this game in the following forum page here on Kong: http://www.kongregate.com/forums/3-general-gaming/topics/242329-mission-in-space-the-lost-colony-strategy-guide

While playing the Axis campaign, in Rome (where no hard side-challenge is presented) there is an extra objective that is not on display. Play on hard and if you play long enough you will receive a notification for achieving surviving for a set period of time. This invisible challenge is an extra medal too. I will be on the lookout for more.

Someone complained that he can’t finish the first challenge on round six, so here is the trick: you must take the Middle East on round 1 and keep pushing eastwards. Finishing the conquest of Europe can wait till the next turn and you will still have enough troop production to finish on round 6. As a childhood fun of Risk II, I may claim that WarLight takes the classic concept a lot of steps further. Thumbs up for this wonderful strategy game. How about an impossible badge for those who make it in the last 2 challenges?
The best strategy games out there have one thing in common: the player may choose or develop a number of different paths to victory. Therefore I suspect the greatest weakness of this game is that it doesn’t allow much in the way of letting the players to come up with a variety of tactics. Every challenge and trial is meant to be won in one and only manner, when played in succession. And indeed, the weakest-units-spamming is getting old, while replaying scenarios a dozen times to build up experience gets boring too. The hero not being much of use was underlined as disappointing repeatedly as well. I suspect that the accessory granted for the last in-game achievement should make the hero a lot more durable. But what is the point when the game has just been completed? Now pat yourself in the back for taking the time to read this long comment.
Tip/possible spoiler: if you go for the badges, consider playing the game with queen Etheriea. Her regeneration spell is the most important spell you are going to be in need of, particularly in most late game battles. The only other unit that gives you access to it is the vampire swordsman, and you may wish to use the extra unit slot for something else. Several commenters complained about the storyline, among other things. When a good idea is recycled 5 times, the result is bound to decline in quality, no matter how unique the original idea was. Graphics are expected to get better over time. But a game is not only about its graphics. Otherwise none of us would dedicate our time in playing arcade flash games, right? Some more thoughts on the game follow in the next comment.

A note that I hope will reach the developer. The little shield-like icons that represent each mission, go bronze, silver or gold, depending on the score the player achieves in each of them. Regretfully, it does not seem to matter in which difficulty. I played all missions in hard from the start and achieved 5 gold, 1 silver and 4 bronze shields. I experimented by playing a single scenario in a lower difficulty. The bronze shield did turn gold indeed. Therefore I suggest that in some way be displayed in which difficulty it was that the each ‘shield’ was acquired. It is one of those game series that I have enjoyed the most on Kong, mainly due to my long involvement with SSI turn-based strategy classics.

@ cornoth; apparently a single golem got stuck somewhere. And you could not advance to face the next wave unless all previous creatures are down. It happens. Double check the edges of the game-screen and make sure you got magic powers so that you can damage golems (my favourite counter for golems is golems of my own).
