Exit/Corners

FYI for all Tropers playing this, I made a TV Tropes page for this game (under Visual Novel) and I'd appreciate others trying to add to it. I've made a pretty decent start but I'm sure there's more that can be said.

I did NOT expect to laugh so hard at the end there.

I think the back out button should keep being lit up on the screen where you select a class for a deck. I went to that screen before I had 20 "unique cards" and it quite confused me that I didn't seem to be able to back out of that screen.

I really like how just...resigned everyone in Vortex Point seem to enabling this trio's (or well, the controlled character's) rampant kleptomania. Like, they actually UNDERSTAND that "well, he's just taking all this stuff almost seemingly at random, but he IS going to stop this ghost in that lighthouse that has literally killed people, so, whatever I guess." Such an attitude, I believe is UNPRECEDENTEDLY helpful in the annals of paranormal investigator/adventurers.

It's such a pity that the battle music for the fight against the bald tutorial guy only plays during the fight with him. It's PARTICULARLY awesome.

Overall impression: This is excellent. The mechanics need polish, and I take it further releases would actually have people gain experience points and make use of the payment mechanic used early on, but the gameplay was engaging and the story hit nearly if not all of the right parody notes. Can't wait for the next one!

Have you considered a more "Paper Mario" approach to the attack types? As in, display instructions for the attack on the part where the player confirms the attack they're using.

These people have entirely too many Zd-whatever names. I can't tell anyone apart! XD

It says demo? Is there a place to get the full game?

Am I the only one who's considered how MESSED UP it is that for the Bloody Mary bit we basically feed that poor guy HIS OWN BLOOD to drink?!

Is this game bugged, or are there instances where you're SUPPOSED to be able to make completing a level impossible? I've ended up with the gravity facing the wrong way at the start of a level and being literally unable to advance or backtrack to switch it back.

There may not be a game, but there IS a kickass ending theme. Where else can I find it?

A nice, fun, brief, whimsical little diversion of a game.

This is the first time a Rusty Lake game has genuinely terrified me. Have they always been creepy? Yes. Have they been freaky? Oh HECK yes. But I wouldn't really call them terrifying...until the final episode of this game. There was a hint to the contrary in Episode 2, but up to that point, the shadow people had pretty much acted just as apparitions, fading in and out, leaving the player unsure of how much they are real and how much they're a product of the character's mind. But in the final episode, not only do multiple shadows surround you, but for the first time ever, THEY'RE ACTIVELY BEATING THE CRAP OUT OF YOU. Well done, I actually had trouble sleeping last night after seeing that.

An interesting message to attempt, but the delivery lacks strength, I think. There was nothing that got me emotionally invested in the fact that "pain" was experienced somehow.

The end cutscene isn't playing right for me, it just jerks forward a few frames at a time.
