Okay, so I'm just gonna go out on a Limb and assume there's some minor TF2 references going on here with the ships, intentional or not. Being there's similar names between classes and ships with the Pyro, Demoman, Sniper, and "Shock and Awe" being the Soldier class's job.

I'd like a center button to bring you back to the very first building built by your people so you can quickly access the far ends and very center of your civilization at any time.
How about the bonus souls from religion can be generated up-front? That way if your people live a really long time you don't have to wait for one to die for you to get more souls but rather they supply more souls in life and in death, if not religion then perhaps a new factor.
While distant perhaps upgrade trees for buings; you don't need to be able to directly interact with them but you can choose what buildings become what upper-level ones. This of course won't be neccisary untill you have developed more factors for upgrades.
worked really well on my Android the first time I played it. Said playthrough was really fun if not a bit simple. The second time around the touch detection lagged, ruining the game for me.
