For Survival mode, I actually had the best luck with the "auto" team that was assigned to me - just try keeping them in a group near the left hand side (not too close to the edge), with projectiles in the middle.
I think this is a great concept, not too complicated, but a fun quick game. I found the mechanics very easy to work with - looking forward to a sequel down the road!
After completing the first campaign, starting the other one gave me 20 medals to start with - that made it much easier to get the 105 medals needed for the hard badge on the second run-through.
While there are lots of comments on strategies to get through the game, there aren't many yet showing how to get to 600 pts in Survival.. I found the most effective build is to max out all fire skills (except the 3 relating to spells other than firebolt). This gives enough points to load up HG, SR, MH, HW (2 pts only) and CO. Stay near the middle of the screen and spam firebolts at anything that shoots. Heal as necessary and knock off the giant pile of bats following you whenever there are few other enemies on screen. Looks like there are still a few kinks to be worked out in this game - on my first run there were only 14 locusts (i re-entered each screen a few times), so I had to restart. Second run-through, after I knocked the guy out with the sign, taxis stopped coming so I had to restart. Third run-through, the reaper would never tell me I correctly hit the 3 locusts and so I had to restart. Fourth time was the charm - all 15 locusts showed up and I was able to make it through. If you're having some problems finding all locusts, maybe just refresh and try again?
