My team was Erica on point, with Josh and Ray.
On levels IX and X the key is to get right up in the purple wizards' grills to kill them quickly, don't let them stack up. Ray's increased drop percentage with Erica's super power allows you to get full weapons on everyone quickly. Josh and Ray are great at crowd control, and Erica's good for the tougher baddies. Also, if anyone needs to "take the hit," perhaps because an enemy's shot hasn't spread enough, make it Ray--since he has a healing drone.
I beat it with Josh and Erica at level 12 and Ray at level 9.
For the record: the help on the Peroxisome says that the protein catalase "reduces" hydrogen peroxide; it's actually oxidizing the H2O2. Remember OiL RiG: Oxidization is Losing (electrons), Reduction is Gaining (electrons).

It's not a glitch when the cat is still following the rules (i.e., the games being consistent instead of arbitrary/capricious). So it gets stuck, yes the cat is too fat. So the game rewards fat cats with bonus points? That doesn't make a difference, if it's physically impossible to complete a level because you made the cat too fat then those points gain you nothing. Ever hear the saying "lose the battle, win the war;" that's exactly what's happening here. (Another apt analogy would be from the story of Herschel and the Hannukah Goblins.) Sacrifice points for progress, or wallow in your misery with your hand in the point pickle jar. It's all part of the games strategy.
You people that keep complainin' about getting too fat a cat to fall through should perhaps be thinkin' "Hey, maybe I shouldn't try to get so much sushi in one fall; that's probably part of the strategy necessary to beat this level!" There is a level reset button just for such an occasion.
