Besides having escorted characters purchase and manage their own food and water separate from the caravan, another good addition would be the ability to adjust the food and water rations of livestock, which is not currently an option for some reason.
I've always liked the Caravaneer games, but the one thing that really gets my goat (ha!) is that I'm actually allowing the person I'm escorting not to carry any of the supplies during our trek through the desert together. I gotta carry this guy's food and water for him? You gotta be kidding me!
I was invaded. I had 24 hours to prepare. I practiced over and over until I had the perfect strategy. When the invasion came, I wiped out the "very hard" attacking bloons without losing a single life. Immediately after this, the game says I have "connection problems." Funny, I can access the rest of the internet fine. When it finally connects, rather than my victory screen, it tells me the attacker has blown through my defenses, damaging my buildings and costing me ~$10,000. That will be the last time I play this game.
It needs a better explanation of the options, an indication of which badges, etc. are new, and a way of marking a tile as *potentially* filled in without committing to it. Almost every puzzle I've had a "failed" pixel on has been because I hit the wrong button -- pencil instead of X.
I love this type of game. There is endless awesomeness that could be made. Large cities, provinces within countries, counties within states, language areas, ancient empires, historical political maps, seas, topological feature names...
Trap level tips: Make your heroes follow entering enemies. Against crowds, space them out a bit along the track so they shoot different enemies. When enemies enter at different points, cover each point with a different hero. Use your spells! Use your hotkeys! The level is not easy, but it's doable.
No, those are just 2 out of the 4 options. The other 2 are far less, um.. cynical.
