if you have autopause off and go on anothertab the free gold thing slows down alot, and it takes a lot longer for free gold more, than 40 seconds

Yes, unfortunately this is a difficult thing to work around as the browser restricts WebGL games from running when it is unfocused, which is why autopause is on by default. You can try leaving the game running in its own tab / visible in the corner of your screen. Sorry for the inconvenience.
