Argh why can't they fix the highscoring.. I get 1550 I get on the board, I get 13170 the next game and nothing?

How in the hell do you beat the dragons, with 2700 and 2200ish health? Even with 10 scrolls I couldn't beat them with full mana powers I bet. What's the trick?
