This is a nice idea but I have some remarks.
The first is that I don't think it's a good idea to make a hole appear in the space the player is or is going to move next. The other is that a check whether a score block is reachable or not is really necessary. I mean. This is a time-based game. The player shouldn't be waiting for the path to open to get to the points. There should always be at least ONE path to it (too many times I was in the condition to have, let's say, a point square in a corner, sorrounded by black squares). Because if it's like this then the score is a matter of luck and not skills.
However I like the style. A lot.

I need to try it, to see if it doesn't change the "stress" feeling I tried to put into the game, but I'm gonna try to add them in a futur update... Don't know when yet. :)
