Yes! You can quickly jump to the end using the pause menu when you found them (if you have already finished the game before). And it gives you a "special something" if you play the game from the start again!
I like the idea of boss levels, but before I was ridiculously overpowered, I spent half an hour on one boss for no reward. I think if you implement milestone rewards (or even the equivalent of the total damage done at the end) then it would be worth it. Also, having a boss every 100 levels with decent rewards (or extra gold?) could be a good interval.
Also, I love the achievements and upgrades (be still my completionist heart) but I would love to know how many possible upgrades there are for each upgrade/prestige bonus, because it's just a guessing game right now. The caps that I have found seem to be at odd/inconsistent numbers (looking at the speed bonuses). Maybe putting a cap and counter on each of them (but not at a point where it would make progressing through the game unbearable like other idle games) might be something to consider.
All in all, I really like the game, so far, and appreciate not having to dedicate a month to see any significant progress after certain points.
I love your games! Just a quick thing I noticed. After exploring a mac, I cannot choose to mine it instead of extracting the files without going back to listdevices. Additionally, I cannot explore or mine another mac at this point either.
YAAAASSSSS!!! Okay I know it's a new series, but I absolutely love it! I like that you made some new stories outside of the main series. It was very well done, as always.
There are so many details I hadn't noticed on my first playthrough, especially since I hadn't yet played Elemental Link. I love how you reused locations between games, such as the hills and the volcano! I also love the references to the past, especially Tiali mentioning trouble with fire, and the reference to Michiko. What I want (so much) is to be able to explore everywhere. I'm always blocked from parts of town, or entire towns, and I want to see it all! This world is too good! Also, I'm pretty sure you're already planning this, but I hope to see how the four heroes are doing in this future, explore this new culture, and explain what we learned at the end of Elemental Link. (I tried to avoid spoilers). Listen I just mean that you had better not be done yet!!
Thank you, Jennifer, I'm delighted to hear that someone is enjoying the world so much. I understand the frustration with being unable to go everywhere. I often place these "fake exits" in towns because the towns are obviously bigger than what the player can see, but on the other hand, making them accessible would mean that there would be no game-related content in the next location. Every game only contains locations relevant to the gameplay, but we always see that they are part of a larger world. Sometimes we get to see these locations later - for example, in Elemental Link, you can't visit the "workers' area" of the Verax village, but you get there in Four Fates. Perhaps one day there will be a large game in which you'll be able to visit all of the previously existing locations and more, but I can't promise that ;) As for the events at the end of Elemental Link, they're part of a larger history of the world, and I hope to reveal that history (probably gradually).
very well done! my only suggestion moving forward is looking at your number fonts for totals: black is fine, but blue and white can be difficult to read for some reason. The outlines are not well defined, so I thought an 8 was a 6 at one point. However, this is a solid game so far, and I enjoyed it immensely. The ambience was quite nice, too.
on level x-3, the music is very slightly offset from the level. This makes it quite frustrating to try to follow my ears to get through it. I've been trying to get this badge for days, but between very slight lag, some taps not registering, and this very slight offset, it feels impossible
Plot twist: the humans that the gun is refusing to kill are actually all zombies, and the professor is one of the last few survivors. Gone insane with lonliness, he no longer recognizes his own son, whom he locked away in this cave that he created for his own protection. The boy, similarly insane after no human contact, found the gun and gave it a personality, desperately trying to escape his father's stronghold.
