This is so stupidly addictive. I hate football, and yet I keep shouting at the screen when they miss and jumping up if they score. It reminds me of watching my Dad watching a match. What has happened to me?
What's the crystal ball looking thing on the map page in the bottom left hand corner? When you hover the mouse over it, each completed field appears with a number on it....
Tips for hard badge: Use smallest hull. At the beginning keep cutting the engine so you maintain a very low speed, it helps you swerve at the last minute and avoids build up of momentum (don't worry about fuel - if you're maxed out upgrade wise it'll last 250k feet). Avoid all gates, you won't need them. Once you get to 100k feet it get's a lot easier.
Agree that the hard badge is too luck dependent, the zoom thing is ill advised. However I really enjoyed the game apart from this. One of the best examples of a 'launch things into space/through the air' type game I've played. Also really like that the upgrades are only optionally applied, you can switch back to others if you choose.
