Yup, the badge is broken for me too. The past few days it'd show up if I just waited a while after logging into the page, but now it doesn't seem to register at all... Here's hoping they fix it soon.
For those of you struggling with the game lagging on Firefox, here's a fix to take away most (but not all) of the lag that worked wonders for me.
First type in "about:config" into the toolbar (minus the quotation marks.)
Look for this configuration: dom.ipc.plugins.asyncdrawing.enabled
Switch it to "false" by clicking it.
And that took away almost all the lag I had with the game, as well as some other games with similar slowdowns! It's still not perfect, but that might just be down to my computer being sub-par and not the game itself.
Just don't expect me to tell you how it works. I just tried a fix I found on the Mozilla support page, so I don't know what consequences it might have in other parts of your browsing... Use at your own risk!
Alright, so I've played through Act 1, I've completed two levels on hardcore and one challenge map, and I gotta say that this game is...
...nothing spectacular really. I mean, the art is good, the mechanics are decent and the story seems solid enough. But while the game isn't bad by any means, it doesn't really stand out amongst others either. It's just... a decent shooter defence game.
I can't help but agree with others that, for this to be one of the best web games of the month, is a little sad. I mean kudos to the developers for what they've done here, but should this really be among the best things on the web? Just because it's not a pay-to-win game or contains no microtransactions?
The market is indeed a sad place nowadays... Oh well, if we can have hope for a good Sonic-game next year, maybe we can have hope here too?
This... was just boring. The puzzles were easy, the stars were inconsistantly hidden either in plain view or obscurely and there's not even a point to collecting them, the protagonist is a snail (need I say more?), the music is dull and repetetive, and worst of all, it just doesn't feel like an adventure despite the theme of fighting a dragon...
Don't get me wrong, the game isn't bad in that it's poorly programmed. It's bad in the sense that it's boring. It might be good for a distraction, but only once. Because let's face it, this is one of those games you'll only ever play once, unless you're showing it to a friend or you're in some sort of competition I suppose.
At least my computer doesn't make the game lag too much, but ffs if a puzzle game lags for anyone without a state of the art computer then you've done something seriously wrong.
My honest opinion about this game? Well, it's fun, but it's way too easy and is over in like 15 minutes. I feel like this could've been done much better. Don't get me wrong, I like it, but it's just too easy.
Once I got the steyr aug, I found the game to be a bit too easy... Just pop 'em in the head, switch to an alternative weapon and let the assistant reload... repeat! With the grenade launcher I'm just creating a huge massacre. It gets kinda slow after a while...
1st minute: Oh ****! Slow down dammit! I gotta get some control...
10th minute: Argh!! Keep the pedal pressed down you dimwit! Speed first, then bullets! No wait, I need to restock... ****!! Go!
30th (straight) hour: ...I'm never getting out of this game again. X_X
Zombie apocalypse: *keeps playing even as I'm zombified* Uhh...
Using resolve to fix up your bleeding...
"Sarge! You're bleeding sarge!" "I ain't got time to bleed..."
Or better yet, using shrug it off!
"Sarge! I'm bleeding!" "You ain't got the luxury of bleeding! Stop that at once!"
My host's PHP update messed up the database queries! I updated my scripts and it's fixed now:)
