I think it's really good that the new Badgemaster (ArbiterRex) listened to feedback on this game, and not only removed the badges that required you to pay money, but updated the game with new ones. This and updating the requirement for the impossible badge in "Please Don't Eat Me" to being more reasonable gives me hope for this new era of Kongregate.
Congrats on beating it! I looked at Dark Souls, Limbo, The Impossible Game and Castlevania for inspiration. Each for different reasons (gameplay, artstyle, feel etc). Weirdly enough I didn't even know about Canabalt until people told me after playing GRIT.
There's a reason this is the highest rated game on all of Kongregate, with a rating of 4.64 as of the time I am writing this. This game is near flawless and is so perfectly crafted that it would be a travesty to not port this to Kartridge. Looking forward to the new Souls games the developer is making!
Still to this day, this is one of the best implementations of Kongpanions in a game. That being said, I echo some of the comments below, this game needs some form of ending.
Revisiting this game for Kartridge was really enjoyable. There is a lot of new additional content added, and the game offers lots of different ways to play.
Hey! Thanks for the shoutout. Junjo, and our team worked together to cook up the new badges. Hope you enjoy them.
