The gameplay is pretty cool and I like the puzzles. The dialogue could use a little proofreading/grammar-checking but it's still cool. I think I'll go back & look for the first game since I just found this one. Music is cool too! =)

Developer response from VasantJ

Thanks, I am still working on improving my grammar though... XD

I agree about the THELS being too weak. I would even be somewhat happy if they did what their primary function indicates: To take down big ships. But noooo... they fire at ANYTHING in the area. There ought to be a control for that so that they first target motherships, then ring ships, etc.

And what's the deal with high scores on survival mode? The game itself doesn't score that at all. I lasted 41:01 and didn't even get high score of the day (and no one else has played it today) so =P

I hope these hints will be helpful... 1) The more damage PER HIT a character does, the more XP he/she will gain. 2) You can start a mission, go work on other stuff, and whether you win or lose your heroes will gain XP (it's not hard to get heroes over 100 this way) 3) If you only use heroes (no guards) your heroes will level faster. 4) Be sure to get armor that provides HP boost, as well as HP regen (7 or 8 hp every 5 sec) 5) As long as you don't change weapons or armor on your heroes, the tiles will be the same for that particular battle. (Useful for people whose memory is better than their reflexes perhaps). I appreciate the versatility of this game, and it's kinda fun. But if you don't have much time to actually play, just start a battle and go do other stuff. BTW, I noticed in higher levels that the HP was sometimes saying +-16 hp, which mathematically would translate to negative 16 hp... but the hero's hp would actually increase. Bug, maybe?

In case anyone is struggling with this TD, here's a quick link to get you started http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LcLb8k0E8zg http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NVt5aMD13cs Please understand, this isn't the *best* way to do this TD, but I did try this same setup on Hardcore Mode. Fire towers are by far the easiest key to winning in hardcore mode. If you want to rack up the points, however, be sure NOT to kill the creeps quickly, but instead to allow your gold towers to leech as much gold (they gain gold *per hit*) as possible. Anyway, this is just something to help you get started. Many have done, and will do, better than my demo. Just trying to help anyone who might be a bit stuck. =)

Yeah, and just to clarify for any new player... Here's why fire towers simply dominate: 1) AOE (area-of-effect) damage 2) Damage over time, and 3) Damage over time that STACKS (so if your tower does 100 dps, the creep will burn at 100 the first hit, 200 the second, 300 the third, etc.) And now ya know how to take on the Hardcore mode too =)

Ok, for those who don't want to figure this out on your own, or find it "too difficult" - here are a couple videos: Waves 1-20 and 31-50. I only use 4 towers, just to make it as easy as possible for you to follow. There's a sniper tower, fire tower, ice tower, and shock tower. If that's too complicated... I dunno. Stick to playing tic tac toe maybe? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LcLb8k0E8zg http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NVt5aMD13cs

Ok, one quick response to those of you still having trouble... upgrading SPEED is ultra-important, especially with fire towers for 2 reasons: 1) You get more damage, and keep in mind the damage-over-time STACKS 2) Your towers gain experience much faster, therefore getting to the "serious damage" faster. If you're building more than 1 sniper tower, you're doing something wrong. I'll try to post a vid of how to beat the game. Youtube has a 10-minute limit, but that might be do-able in normal mode.

Correction... I meant FIRE tower (the cheaper one). Flame towers are great too, but the fire towers are acquirable early-game, and they do insane area-of-effect damage over time that STACKS. Hence the uberness and riggage of said tower. Sorry for the confusion =)

Guys, guys... the game isn't hard. Take a few minutes to read through some of the suggestions here. Do a search for "Fujitsu Defender Strategy" or something like that. Or just try this: Start with a sniper tower. Save up until you have enough for a FLAME tower. Then get an ice tower, then shock towers (at least 4 of them). Try for 2 flame towers, 4 shock towers, and an ice tower. And remember... upgrading speed of towers increases their XP gain, which makes them more POWERFUL. Upgrading is more important than massing. Hope this helps!

Rubish is a neat-sounding word... never heard of it before though. Maybe try "rubbish" - a synonym for "trash." Your argument carries very little weight if it is only accompanied by very little thought & effort.

Guys... if you're struggling with the game in "normal" mode, you're doing something terribly wrong. Just be sure to upgrade your skills after every turn. At least watch a walk-through on u-tube or w/e. Flame towers do area of effect and crazy damage over time. Shock towers are also a must. If a game is *simple* for some people, and "impossible" for others... well, let's not draw any logical conclusions as some people might feel insulted.

Cannon tower IS strong when fully upgraded. But so is sniper, machine gun, and just about every tower... in *regular mode.* But please try these towers in hardcore mode first before you taunt their superiority. Cannon towers aren't as effective as flame towers early-game, nor as your primary damage. Decent secondary damage perhaps. =)

And not that it's a big deal... but this game doesn't take too long if you do it right. My best time for finishing hardcore level 1 so far is 17 minutes, 10 seconds. And that was with no lives lost.

Sorry, meant to say that 1,000,000 point score is possible in hardcore mode, due to the higher HP of the creeps (they can take twice as many hits from the gold towers). Aim for having 10-15 gold towers all w/ max speed upgrade. GL! :)

If you use lots of gold towers, freeze towers, and shock towers without killing the creeps right away (have damage towers farther down the path), you can break 1,000,000 score with 20 lives. If you're having struggles with the game, keep in mind that Flame Towers do AOE damage over time, and ice towers at least do AOE slow, if not AOE damage too. =)
