This game can be summed up pretty easily with "web-based Factorio". Did I love that game? Yes. Do I love this game? Yes. Is it a win-win for me? Of course. "Ripoff" or not, if it's enjoyable, it's fine with me.
Reason you cant connect: Every single idiot who plays this game speaks Portuguese and lives in Europe. If your English, your only hope is getting your brother, or someone who lives close to you to play. If you don't have anyone nearby, give up and go home.
To those that can't join servers: It is because (almost) none of the servers are in the US, or near you. The majority of all of the servers are hosted from europe. You can't join servers you can't reach, the farther you are away from your host, more ping, until eventually you time out and cant connect. If you wan't to play with someone, go recruit some friends. :)
