Nope. In Gentle a grand total of 70 yellow notes spawned and i never hit any red ones. I call bull$hit on the Gentle Giant page. Dont make a frickin badge when 100 yellow notes do not spawn.
I got them out of the hosue, didn't I? if the AI is too stupid to figure out stairs, after running by them SCREAMING at the max scare level, w/o taking the stairs down, then that's fne that they jumped.
7 killed, i count that as a success. if they're too retarted and derp derp derp to leave the house, that's there problem. If i got 1 cent every time the retards ran by the set of stairs leading downstairs, i could retire. Yes, I tried the paintings, lights, and bushes in the 2 rooms with the downstairs set of stairs, and the dumb phucks kept runnign by it. if they're too dense to leave a house after being scared repeatedly, then I count it as a sucess that they jumped for it. Take the stairs ya retards.
One sequence has you pressing Left to Right. The scorpion has you presssing Right to Left. If someone has done that fist one first, then they see the system being Pressing in sequence from left to right. If they do the scorpion, and then they get to the one with Left to right, they'll remembrer for the scorpion it was Right to Left and try right to left, not knowing that for the other sequence it's left to right. that's not consistent and they may think the game is bugged. Because their first impression of the pattern is Left to Right, so when it's switched they wont know it was switched. Or if their fist impression was of the Right to Left sequence then when the Left ot Right doesn't work, they wont have a heads up that the system is different and figure it's bugged.
The scorpion: I pressed the first four, then the first button in the next sequence was the up key (left to right the first one to the left was Up) I pressed Up and the game i messed up....the first button was Up and I pressed Up.
More games ought to choose your own path. now THAT is roleplaying, when your choices change your course and impact the world around you. Doing something (in the game) here, you dont end up there, thus changing the world because you were in one place, and not the other.
OH! the 5 second countdown makes it look like you start pressing X as soon as the countdown ends. Because a countdown means go once it's over. That's misleading. Runners dont go on "On your mark" the New Year doens't start 5 seconds before midnight, it starts once the countdown is up.
Still, 5/5 stars for witty rhymes and multiple choose your own adventure paths.
I would play this game dozens of times and recommend it to my friends, but i know some of them also wouldn't do well with Pilot Mode. I can't keep playing this game, i dont want to risk feeling like someone's exploring my skull and brain with an icepick whenever Pilot mode activates. Oh, and risking getting sick on my keyboard whenever it activates (i haven't done that, but i feel something coming up whenever it activates.) Pilot Mode is painful and puts me at the risk of getting physically ill.
and anyone who doubts that: YOU eat 4 chili dogs, 4 sodas, and 12 candy bars and then get on a roller coaster like the Alpinegeist or Apollos Chariot. and then try not to get sick afterwards. thats me with Pilot mode. idk if its the transition, or the high speed from that camera angle, but it makes my head hurt and makes my feel sick to my stomach.
I want to keep playing but the pilot view hurts my head....and i dont want to keep playing and risk activating it by accident. Promising game ruined by head-splitting painful pilot mode....1/5 till pilot mode is made optional (on/off.)
This game is really fun, i think the combo of the music plus the fast moving gameplay is a sweet combination.
My only gripe is this: pilot mode. On more than one occassion, i've been aiming for a Ruby Ramp/Ruby collectable thing in the air only to go into pilot mode, which disrupts my point of view, changing where the ramp/collectable is in relation to the camera view, and since its location on the screen changes, i am now aiming for another spot. Pilot mode ought to be toggable, meaning it can be turned off if the player chooses.
In regards to Character/Horse upgrades: I know those don't vanish after you select one of the bigger icons, but that's not clear from what happens. Once you select a Big Icon, that set is replaced by another, so it appears that your Talents have vanished even though they have not.
Also, once we upgrade our character/horse (using Talents) 5 times, please let us view our previous upgrades for the character/horse. I noticed once, with the 5th talent point, you select one of the big icons at the bottom of the talent tree, the selected talents and unselected talents are replaced with a whole new set of talents. As far as I can tell, there is no way to view what talents we have selected. For the sake of strategy and planning, so we can take account, if we choose, what talents we picked previously when deciding what further talents to pick, please let us view our previous talent choices.
I'm not saying: Change how Shotgun and Guided Missile work. No. I'm talking about personal preference. The weapon types are not the problem. I'm talking about a player (ahem..... t like them, they ought to be able to reset the choice and choose the other weapon choice.
The world needs more steampunk :)
One recommendation: Please let us reset the Weapon Selections (what upgrades we've chosen using rubies) in case we select say Shotgun or Missile but do not like how those weapon types handle in practice.
I like this game a lot. Nice graphics, smooth gameplay, the variety of enemies is nice. So is the variety of weaponry. The cooldown system is fun and the choice in what weapon you use when. Speaking of choice, the upgrade system is grade A. I really like how the player gets to choose how to evolve their each weapon; that's really fun and neat, and so is the Talent system with upgrading health, horse, and ruby collection.
20/5 stars.
I like this game, 5/5 stars easily, but I have one suggestion: let the Leader and Allies fire backwards. The enemies can shoot backwards so the player and the AI allies should also be able to shoot backwards.
