Sylin, this might be because it only works on the last part of the game. And you need to collect four of the items in the castle and complete the symbol to get the power. Then it should work.

Click the oranges, make sure the blender is open, time the woman is facing away click the tap, draw and knife. She should die if done correctly, click the heater dial till vent falls off, click little person, click light bulb, then vent.
