What I posted on Facebook with this game:
"Art game. Such a good art game. If art is a means of self expression, and you don't think there are artistic video games exist, think again. Ugh, why can't this be what all video games are like. This is poetry brought to life."
It's fun for an hour or so, then quickly starts to become tiring like I'm running on a hamster wheel, especially as the pay-for uncut die becomes more and more useful. It would be more stimulating if there were more varieties of dice (such as 8, 12, and 24 sided), and the mechanics of probability were played on top of more (such as something like a chosen "lucky number" total from one set of rolls which maybe doubles your damage for that set, benefiting the player once they realize there are certain totals which appear more than others.) Having some critical event totally mix up the too easily familiarized mechanics would take away from the grinding nature of an RPG, such as having a monster swallow you whole without your dice, where maybe you meet some kind of idiot flatfish who has a 50% chance of damaging the enemy with it's rocky surface but a 50% chance of screwing up and accidentally flipping itself over and doing nothing but waste time.
