After finishing this, I honestly do enjoy it, it has an engaging combat system.
But in all total honesty? That is mainly what it feels to be, a demo of an excellent combat system. If you ever released a version of this with more of an RPG feel to it (Adventure mode, and stat points, or something different to happen during a level up other than the occasional spell unlock.) I would honestly pay good money for it. It doesn't do much, but what it does, it does beautifully, at that I am looking forward to the premise of the story, simply going from what the last boss said anyway.
Good work, I am looking forward to future releases, and if more time sinks were implemented, as well as more features, I could easily see this as a well selling Indie game, without a doubt.

It is easy to beat the Shaman. I simply tanked him using heal, even if you get the timing wrong the healing itself negates the damage completely most of the time, and that is if your timing is COMPLETELY wrong.
Yeah, I've found the heal spell most effective against the two spellcasters (a similar strategy works on the Lich Lord too). Most offensive spells (including Squid) are ineffective, because their magic defense is too high, but heal lets you regain lost health, and if timed well, the heal spell can block their magical attacks as well!
With the Lich Lord, you have to make sure you block most of the lightning (with heal or block) though, because the lightning will drain your MP! If you run out of mana to heal or block, you're defenseless against the lightning as you'll never have a chance to recharge!
