Your math is off pretty badly, you can buy +1 for 75, +5 for 750, + 25 for 4500, or +50 for 15000........ I can spend 4500 buying level 1 and gain +60.......... there's no need to buy the higher cost upgrades ever.
If we are going the route of diablo, could we add in come gold find items, skill, or some way to increase gold drop, you can't afford the "green set" until you have already unlocked the dark set and it becomes useless to but them at that point.
Also, can you make potions sell able, i am always at max, it would also increase gold income to afford the "green set" items.
