5/5 Excellent game after a rash of really awful ones on Kongregate. You've got a lot of things right - gameplay is enjoyable, well-balanced, never getting grindy (no need to repeat completed levels) but is not too easy at the same time, no memory leak issues, the elemental balance is present (admittedly, except poor fire, which I used little apart from the Pengu, but great effort anyway), a little humour, attention to detail and varied, non-repeating enemies. (e.g. no green, blue then purple goblin which is essentially fighting the same thing with more hp/dmg) Upgrade trees are friendly and yet allow for customisation to a playstyle. Was this playtested extensively? It feels like it was.
Thank you! Believe it or not, I took my time trying to polish this game before release, but the community still finds bugs i never imagine. They also have awesome ideas that also eluded me. In the end, the players still has the best feedback for the game and our next game's improvement.
The 1000 Newspaper achievement (Media Rebirth) really needs more 1s in it. It could be a 1,111,111x multiplier and still only just match up to Car Washes / Shrimp Boats. As it is, the 1000 achievement has no hallmark feel at all.
How on earth did a game like this even make the minimum rating requirements to get badges!? Ridiculously grindy even AFTER the 50% upgrade, I shudder to think how it was for people before Jul 18. Entirely luck-based, upgrades which slow you down, a brainless clone of other Berzerk games, this game was so terrible that it wasn't enough just to rate this 1/5, but I went to find all the other Berzerk games I've played before to give them a 1/5 as well.
So offline mode was working for me post-1.3.1, and then suddenly it isn't again last night. If it isn't a version issue, then is it a server matter with the increasing popularity of the game overtaxing it?
Really bad update, the supposed upgrades aren't available and offlline mode seems to have vanished. Also not sure why things like Newspaper Achievements are being fiddled with when more basic interface issues like 100x purchase multiplier, ingame earnings per second or blacking out the option when not all 10 can be purchased go unaddressed.
Requests for endgame players: 1) Buy x100 button 2) Purchase all available managers 3) Purchase all available upgrades. Personally unsure whether the "purchase all" should buy from most expensive to least or the other way around, but I'm sure the community would appreciate some thought into this. Keep up the great work!
1) Ally logic and targeting needs lots of work. 2) Ability to let game run when out of screen. If you make a game grind-heavy, also make it partially afkable. 3) Balance challenge difficulty, especially AI-only ones. Challenges should also give more gold. 4) Faster max movespeed speed, please. 5) Ghosts should either spawn more frequently, move more predictably, or drop items more often. Even with max runes they don't appear enough.
A game of this calibre would normally at least warrant 3-4 stars, but this loses points because of a) how in-your-face all the premium content is, and b) the incredibly inane responses to top comments. Nobody forces developers to comment; developer comments are not a place to give excuses for major gameplay flaws and "thank people for their comments" without bothering at all to improve the game. 1/5.
Hi! thanks for the feedback:D about the premium content, you dont need to buy it to enjoy the game, and the responses... Well I dont just response to top comments I respons to almost all comments :D why? to be in contact with the people that play our games! how could we improve games if we dont know what people think!! So yes, I thanks people for comments, and of course thanks for yours :D
I hit other cars from behind, I slow down and they speed off into the distance. Other cars smack into me from behind, I slow down and they speed off into the distance. Wtrf?
