The level designs seemed way too easy this time around. I really wished to see more elements regarding this foreign planet as well seeing it's an alien world to begin with, there are a lot of things that could be added to a puzzle. The stars were hidden well enough but having played the previous ones made them fairly simple to find. I know your mind!
Has potential, still needs a lot of work done to make it worthwhile. More puzzles for starters, less UI clutter. Often had times where pieces were just too difficult to see without having to move first. Swapping tiles is necessary. A way to lock tiles together. A speed option, as all of these puzzles were not so much difficult, as just time consuming to wait for that "perfect" moment to see what the hell is going on.
I really foresee this game getting badges once it comes out of beta. My only complaint is the map - it needs some work to show what doors may have been missed in previous rooms, along with some way to make it a full-sized map that the player can scroll through so they can see the entire thing together in one cohesive way.
The upgrades need some work, along with how the bonuses are reflected in the stats, there is some confusion. The difficulty is literally none to oh, interesting. There also needs to be quite a few more levels, as I was able to go through this all in half an hour or so, and only continued to play because upgrades. Which is a pain to grind out due to every level after completing it once only gives a single point.
If this game didn't have badges, I would've left in the first five minutes. Story is unoriginal, tilesets are stolen/massively re-used, NPCs lack depth, quests lack depth (dont even kno wtf im sposta do outside kill some bastard who summoned monsters...not original), i cant tell where to go due to lack of info, feels slapped together and not even remotely thought through. If you're here for badges, take this game in a little at a time before you kill yourself. If you're here to have fun, leave now. 1/5
Never noticed that there was more than one chapter, i assumed the page you see is what you got for levels, then i read the hard badge about 4-24.... It then dawned on me, holy shit im only like 10% done with the game...
Honestly, this whole game line like this i do not enjoy by any means, if they had any achievements i get them but other than that, these arnt that fun, they miss something.
#LanceJZ - My version of writing code from scratch is using as little libraries as possible, I love programming, love doing it, but writing code for me means knowing exactly what the library is doing and how it is doing it, meaning that code would need to be open source. I improve code as much as I personally can, so it can run the smoothest, I can't rely on frameworks that could prove to be slow in the end for things I wish to do. I agree frameworks help, but they shouldn't always be relied on. Don't get me wrong, im not against them, but i will never choose one thing over another just because its "easy" in certain aspects. it depends on the job i want to do.
@LanceJZ - XNA tbh is nothing special but i guess it is a start with something. long time programmer myself here but never got into the unity 3d thing, seemed like "same shit diff name"
Well I'll tell you this, with Unity 3D in 14 days after installing it for the first time, I learned it, then created and released a game. I don't see how that is the same, maybe you could explain?
XNA is nice, gives one a nice library for assists and easy access to creating games, but is still very time consuming, as you have to build everything from scratch. Also, putting a game on the web, I see Unity 3D as the easier, and faster option.
@Someone9999 - Oh? Guess this game didnt keep me interested in it long enough to have paused it. Outside of that, the rest of my comment stands up until the update.
HOLY MOTHER OF GOD! I died THRICE from oncoming comets, once from me running into it, the other two times by spawning right as soon as they were coming down and i spawned right on them.
Hm, easy game, however i am able to kill zombies off-screen and thus loose their loot?! No upgrades either? Whats the point? Zombie killing spree? I could play Left 4 Dead, or any other zombie game out there.
There is upgrades. Press "p" while in game in order to access the upgrades menu. In the next update, there will be an option for the difficulty level, and way to retrieve loot that goes off screen. Thanks for the comment!
That is good, we need people to make libraries for us lesser mortals.
