Lovely artwork and music. Fun and interesting ideas for monsters. But the game itself was a bit too simplistic. If you wanted to capture the feel of old text adventures you should have tried to include some puzzle aspects. Still; 4/5 for the awesome atmosphere.
Great game but it feels oddly unfinished. Only problems are minor issues though. It would be nice to see a projected range when you select an ability and for the cursor and icon to change to acknowledge that you have indeed selected the ability.
Really looking forward to the next one and whatever new classes or abilities it brings.
Hmm. Got to the second mission and decided to restart because I got distracted by external factors... Restarted version wouldn't work properly, was still displaying later tutorial messages so I quit out and come back in... Wouldn't even let me start the battle this time.
So I start a new games but after doing the first mission I'm told "Click on a region to attack" while the shop is still displayed and the only button i'm able to click is "Exit"
Seems like this could be a fun little game despite just being a Plant vs Zombie clone but unfortunately the bugs have made it unplayable for me.
An alright game which could have been made better with some very simple additions... being able to view your current quest, a "sell-all" button, some form of retreat function and less typos.
Hmm... I appear to be stuck. Just got the crouch-slide but the only exit seems to be back through the water... which I can't jump high enough to escape.
Started off good and slowly, but steadily, went downhill. By the end the fights were just chores and seemed ridiculouly easy... then I got to Waizer who I apparently have literally NO hope of defeating. My sword wielding mutants powers made him a killing machine before but Waizer beats him down in two hits, his stuns keep me from maintaining attacks and on the rare occasion that I DO beat him close to death he merely heals himself faster than i can finish him.
Looking at the comments it seems the alternative would have been to take the *right* powers and practically auto-kill him. Neither option seems fun.
Wow. Just finished my fifth play-through and this game still feels fresh.
First time I pretty much just did whatever felt natural. Nice simple straight run. Since then I've tried playing most of the hat/torch combos but I still haven't found a build that can take on the Secret Dungeon cleanly.
One of the most infuriating yet at the same time fantastic games i've played in quite a while. Controls felt a little sticky at times, there were a few times on the last level... er... middle level... hmm... The last blue level... Yeah. A few times on that one where i found myself running too fast from a single tap or accidentally wall-jumping off a flat floor into an oncoming me.
But its definately an original idea in a genre thats swiftly using up its gimmicks and i felt tremendous satisfaction upon completion.
