There are certain strategies that are op or annoying to play against. One is mass yasur staffs as it either ends in a draw or you have a nuke weapon that annihilates everything. I just hope that the developer will tweak some of these.
A quick tip for beginners: mass archers/musketeers is super effective. Then spend the rest on whatever units you want and stick them in the front.
Just watch out for mages.
In the later levels I find having max upgraded archers/mages and swordsmen is better than cannons.
Also if you are having trouble with the giants, upgrade your hero's attack damage to max first(your hero can now solo giants by himself) and you will almost be happy every time a giant appears in a wave as it will be an easy kill.
This was a really good game. Although the first level felt slightly weak ... more like a modified kingdom rush but man I have to say you pulled together from then on. The levels were very unique, the towers, giant climbing soldiers, and overall feel definitely made this one of my favorite games.
Tip to all those who are just starting the game or find a level difficult: you should try to upgrade your hero first. For the first couple levels upgrade his health then his attack later on as once you reach a certain health he will rarely die in combat. Next I suggest upgrading the swordsmen and then archers or mages, your pick.
Sooo much fun and definitely worth it. This is one of the only games where I felt the campaign was not enough so I played survival for quite some while, 5/5 all the way.
With that being said, there are two things (for me at least) that I would love to see in the sequel.
1. Longer campaign with more stuff and gameplay!!
2. Hotkeys or groups or multiselect so i can press 1, 2, 3, or drag and select multiple armies.
This game is great and it's fun helping out neighbors, but they should add a button or a dialog box somewhere when you visit to tell you if the neighbors want help in orchard, barn or somewhere.
and it would help if there was a passive button to show if there is help needed in barn to avoid going in barn and wasting your time. Otherwise, fun game!
OMG, dguo1 you do realize there is something called a chat room, and you can post the links THERE, or if you don't have time you can post them in the FORUMS, yes?
I know a very practical solution to the energy problem without making it too free. 1. Double the amount of energy that people currently get at each level 2. make it so that there is a +2 each level. 3. since you doubled our energy, make harvesting crops or trees take 1 energy, but things like building take 3 energy, and clearing debris or feeding animals take 2 energy. It doesnt have to be like that but I assume that people complain mostly because if you plant some crops, you pretty much never have enough energy to harvest. I feel that this way would be fair so thumbs up that the developer can see.
I actually don't mind adding things that will cost real money, just don't make them the only good weapons.
Ex. u can make weapons that cost real money and have them be really good, but make sure as a normal player you can still get good weapons u just need more levels money etc.
