Sorry, can't seem to reply here. But the unity link redirects to the regular Kong link even when I'm logged out of Kong. Tried it on both Chrome and Firefox, no joy.
If you have your save exported you can try the other open beta location: https://tovrick.itch.io/sword-fight-beta?secret=TCjgcsJCqfM7r08uSoNtg2G93c. The cloud saves are a bit of a mess there though so don't rely on them. If you don't have your save exported I may be uploading the Unity version in the next day or two, depending on feedback from players
The unity link simply redirects to the regular Kong link (https://www.kongregate.com/games/tovrick/sword-fight_preview?guest_access_key=b3f6502b1a39a3bba50ae9eeb -> https://www.kongregate.com/games/tovrick/sword-fight). I can't access unity.
I did what the instructions told me (signed out of Kong, followed the link, clicked play), but the game never told me when to sign back in. The way it is, I can't cloud save, much less access the save I had when Flash was still alive.
Hmm, there shouldn't be a play button, make sure the url is correct - it can switch back to the flash version if it is not correct. If it works the game should start automatically and you'll see a Kongergate loading screen, then a red pop-up will open telling you it can't connect and to check that you are logged in
The calculations are wrong for bricks when it comes to converting to income/second. When I make 21.22 septillion over a six second period, that should amount to 21.22/6=3.54 sp/s. However, the game multiplies instead of divides: it claims I earn 135.81 sp/s, and that is clearly not the case. Also, even when I have bricks maxed out, they are the slowest earners by far.
This was one of my favourite G&W games when I was a kid. Divers, sunken treasure and a giant octopus - three of my favourite things. Thanks for the flash port!
Found an exploit: if you choose an upgrade further up the upgrade tree without having paid for the preceding upgrade, you'll get both upgrades, but only pay for one.
The ships' stats are misleading. I find that with full upgrades, a clipper (dmg 400) consistently deals about twice as much damage as a ship of the line (dmg 440).
There are plenty of times when I have had the stronger fleet and attacked first, and also when I've had the weaker fleet and the enemy attacked first. I don't think it is as simple as the weaker fleet attacks first.
Angela's Focus skill is a bit broken. It works fine at lvl 1, and for lvl 2 it still works if Diamond Shot is at lvl 1. But if Diamond Shot is at lvl 2 or more, lvl 2 Focus acts as lvl 1 Focus.
@I Add Everyone, reviews are one thing, but New999 had some pretty poor reasons for hating the game. First of all, he seems oblivious to the fact that there are different difficulty settings. Second, he complains about having to scavenge, which is an essential part of any post-apocalyptic setting. He also complains that farms do not help, when if anything they help too much: what farms yield crops EVERY DAY of the year? Third, he hints to gameplay problems from the first game, but doesn't actually say what they are. And why should basic gameplay be different in a sequel, anyway?
