My evaluation: There is no driving force for expansion or growth, no objectives or goals and no opposition.
Combat is largely broken since you suffer a 90% reduction in resources for about a week if you attack someone too much smaller, even if inactive. Also, I attacked an inactive with only the fortress (suffering a penalty to do so) and was slaughtered by 9 citadel guards, of which my sizeable invading force (100+ equipped guys) killed 3, suffering 80% casualties to do so.
Even attacking active/larger players seems to do little as I've seen little benefit from attacking, certainly not worth soldiers and equipment lost.
The increasing costs is also frustrating, since if I want to build a Mill lvl 2 the cost should not be different if I have built 3 buildings in the mean time or not.
In essence, could be better with serious revamp/improvement. Combat included. I agree with the honor loss to prevent player abuse but it needs tweaking. This is currently a seriously flawed game.
A very enjoyable game. Though it still bugs upon death rendering all your stats to +0 so that when and if you remove equipment it becomes negative.
Also, I'm disappointed that there was no boss fight at the end game.
I try out a lot of different games and this is the first one I've ever wanted to give a negative star rating to. The gameplay becomes massively cumbersome once you reach lvl 6, there are many bug-related issues, the design appears intended to con you out of money for a vastly inferior product and the game balance is terrible and lacks logic.
I enjoyed the gameplay but tactically speaking it was far too simple to win. The weakest ships do too much damage for their cost. The rotation was a nice effect and the shifting battlefield was definitely good. I did have the game freeze multiple times in the middle of the enemy turn. Might be a bug.
fixed now.
