Possibly me being stupid but.. I've won time warp and a couple of 10% of lifetime earnings from presents but haven't actually received anything. Is there something I need to do to actually use these?

Everytime I exit this game and log back in the next day, my characters lost a huge amount of exp. Am I doing something really stupid?
