Wow... After choosing death for my opponents, my guy who had lost a leg was the one to run forward and carry out the sentence. He sure ran and jumped well for only having one leg!
I really like it, but I think counter attacks should be an automatic skill for everyone (maybe one of the main stats you can add points to). I've found that once I've targeted an enemy's leg and crippled them, I'm guaranteed to win the match. The only way they can fight back is if they can throw a polearm, and then I just block every turn until they bleed to death. It makes the option of targeted attacks feel wasted since I only ever go for legs. It would be cool if an immobile opponent was still a threat.
After getting all endings, I recaptured all buildings in the city... and nothing happened.
Now all I can do is send my people to school and convert farms into houses and houses into farms.
Well, it is a point and click game, and it is by Atomic Cicada, but I wouldn't quite call it "visually stunning and original", nor would I think it was made by any "mad minds".
I tried to sell something to the pirate when he was at the top of the screen. His speech bubble was out of the screen, and I couldn't move without choosing an answer (which I couldn't do!).
I was attacked at my castle and all my troops were killed... do I really have to sit here while the enemy whittles away at my walls' 2 million hit points? This'll take forever!
This game is great set-up ruined by a large number of bugs. Was the game even tested before being published on Kongregate?? From what I can see, the stats (time played, damage dealt/received) only show up when you're defeated, the game gives you a black screen with no where to go when defeated, and occasionally the enemy will play a silence card (no more cards can be played for one turn) which magically keeps you from playing any cards for SEVEN TURNS while allowing the computer to play all the cards it wants.
It was fun, but the bugs ended up being a killer. I really hope you fix it!
I was disappointed that this wasn't a new installment of the Gateway series. I already played this one back in May of last year... You're just now releasing it on Kongregate? I wish you would have spent this time making another game. The first two were so great! I really hope you continue.
I'mlooking forward to your next project ... still...
