Coming from an 8-bit game, I'd expect there to be no in-game purchases unless it impacts the game in little ways. However once your around level 14-15 it gets "challenging." What makes me mad is how the developer is making you buy 'crowns' for unfair advantages. While those who buy the crowns have fun and enjoy the game, the ones who don't sit looking at our screens for when that building will finally get built. However the game was very fun, I love games that involve expansion and slow growth over time. I've never played one that involved 8-bit but I must say it was addictive for the first couple hours, then it kind of went downhill from there.
It was fun in the beginning but it slowly gets boring, I don't get the concept of just cutting wood the whole game without being levels or anything. 3/5
