So...if you just max out archers, they'll basically carry you through the game. They're the most cost efficient for their damage output and they knock-back so they generally solo clear maps
If you're going for the hard badge, you can control spawning by letting them all spawn and then just picking them off one at a time. Focus on archers and then if only melee just kill one and repeat.
