His beard form has 3 types of attacks: 1) Beard spikes, which he will spam twice: Attack him at max range to avoid getting hit. Be aware that your character will sometimes step forward and do a spinning attack. 2) Laser beams which he will first shoot along the top part of the screen, then the bottom part. Stay on the ground throughout and when he flies to the side of the screen to use it, immediately run behind him and spam attacks. 3) Triple cheese drop: Hide under a platform and if one is about to drop on top of you, dodge it as it will bounce once on the platform and drop through. I managed to defeat this form without my character dying once on my first run using this strategy, but it is possible to die a few times and still make the hard badge. Attack your tombstones while you wait for him to change form. Skull form where he flies around the screen and shoots flares in 8/9 directions: Stun-lock him by continuously attacking him.
Guide to medium badge with little/no grinding: Prioritise getting active abilities and buy Popo and Grulborg. Viegraff has only melee units so make sure you get some magic units and at least one ranged unit from the other heroes. Get the 10% attack and health boosts on Viegraff. You don't have to level up any units or actives after you buy them for the first time. Crafting is completely optional; just make sure you wear your best items. I had enough crystals leftover by stage 12 to get Fire Dragon Igniz. Using this method, you should have 50+ crystals leftover by stage 15 without grinding pvp or previous stages at all.
Played Music Catch 2 a few years ago and still a few shapes short of the medium badge. Played this for the very first time and I get all 3 badges at once for the same number of points as an impossible badge >.<
WALKTHROUGH:
1) First day: Put all points in survivors, should get 2-3 survivors.
2) Next few days: Keep putting points in weapons until you first get Magnum, then UMP. If survivors drop below 3, restart game.
3) Stick to UMP and put points in survivors until you get 6/7. For rest of game, keep survivors at 6/7 and wall>80%. Otherwise, put all remaining points into weapons.
4) Use only Hunting Rifle and Chainsaw when you get them and ignore all other weapons until Barrett, which you can swap Hunting Rifle for.
5) Win!
