Is it maybe time to give this game unlimited progress points? I imagine all the money that this game might make has already been made, and this game really would be a hidden gem if the pace wasn't so slow. So to reawaken interest and get better rankings maybe give people the opportunity to advance as quickly as they like?
I think the estate generation is a little too random. I am currently saving for the $20000M estate, and two of the options are worse and one is pretty much the same. Not much incentive to move on...
Still enjoying the game, but it would be nice to have some more endgame content. It doesn't take long to max out all of the ascension skills. How about unlocking the caps, but making each one vastly more expensive after the current caps. That would give people something to aim for after they have left it running for a couple of days. Also maybe rethink the rewards for higher level quests. Seems odd to get 3 potions I could make 10000 of in the same time it took me to do the quest...
Really need to change the ascension system so the cost only increases for the one you pick. Currently I would have to pay several thousand points in order to start over with $50. I would have to be mad... Other than that really enjoying this version.
The most common crash issue occurs when someone helps you build your base. The system save fails after that and after a few mins you get the unable to save message. The best way to avoid this is to reload your browser after each mission. This will also make the shockwave crash less likely.
I have to say I am a bit shocked so many people have given this game under a 4 star rating. This is obviously a very well polished commercial quality game, and it's so rare that one is released that doesn't constantly badger us for money every twenty seconds while playing it. Also..... Squirrels are cute...
Game tips: If you are trying to make cash the best race isn't the latest one, its the highest level race you can do without using powerups; Those eat your profit margin. Save regularly as those 15% interest rates add up.....Make sure you have full energy before each race.I use two pairs of racers so one set is always rested...... After level 20 invest heavily in clothing! Shop items allow your racer to have over its maximum stats which is the only way to consistently win the highest possible race repeatedly and cuts down the grind to 25 by an incredible amount.... also..... never underestimate the restorative power of tea....
Sounds like you are a master squirrel manager! Great tips - thanks for sharing. I'm going to DM you to invite you to beta programme ;) (reply from Playniac; your 5-star rating helps us keep developing!)
A few tips for beating nightmare...
1. Restart the game a hundred times to make sure you have a lab a hospital and a big farm right next to your startup.
2. If you aren't expanding you are dying! Don't have the resources? We don't care! You'll get more people from constantly pushing out than you will from keeping the ones you have safe.
3. Your priority is police stations and housing. Never mind the rest. Let them eat cake!
4. Everyday unassign everybody give them jobs and then reassign all. You don't want idle people who could be holding a gun!
5. Whenever you have 50 food, throw a party. You'll get more happiness than you might lose for running out of food. Also happiness doesn't cap and adds to your final score... why do you think I am at the top (for now...)
6. Kiss goodbye to your sleep!
Anyone got any tips on beating nightmare? No matter what I do after the hordes start coming at day 30 things begin to go downhill and it's only a matter of time till I lose.
The games not actually a no win scenario as many people thought. You simply have to expect to make massive losses in the last two years. Don't spend too much time thinking about each trade, set yourself a limit. I set a 50 silver plus minimum on selling and 40 or below for buying. Any time they came up I clicked them. By the time I got to year 8 I had about 40000 silver and a fairly big stock. Sadly I barely beat the game without enough silver to buy a turnip... but hey, a wins a win!
Ascensions has been rebalanced. Each skills now have it's own cost once unlocked.
