Great game, absolutely great. Some way to repeat older levels, or a NG+ could both extend the life of the game, but honestly, it is great as it is. Whether you get an early win because of tactics or grind it out until you're powerful enough, it doesn't overstay its welcome. Sure, one might feel like wanting more in the end, but....isn't that just the mark of a good game? Something that is played until you're bored of it just seems like it'd degrade the overall quality.
Fun, great minigames that are challenging yet skill based so you can not only get good at them, but master them, and this in a game that I would consider a proper full flash game even if the minigames weren't there.
Not all is sunshine and lollipops however, as the keyboard based minigames suffer an occasional bout of lag (tested in multiple locations on multiple browsers at each level of quality) which others have already mentioned here and there. Though I personally still managed to perfect all but the sword training, which I have given up on.
One flaw in an otherwise magnificent game that sets a new standard (for me anyway) and breaks up the dreary avalanche of idle games makes this the first 5/5 I can remember giving, and I give it without hesitation.
Well done SoulGame, I will be taking a look at your other games, and I look forwards to future content from you.
Thanks for this amazing review. I'm aware of the little lag, it seems to have appeared since the Halloween update which doesn't make any sense... Will be fixed soon hopefully.
That was a good game. Nice smooth animation, surprisingly nice voice acting for a flash game, amusing enough jokes, each ability felt like it was useful to upgrade and the grinding to max everything out didn't overstay its welcome. No bugs, no lagging, about the only complaint I got is the lack of info on what the special ability upgrades do, but honestly, I figured it out by context as I played. Despite the death of green rabbit, I hope for a sequel.
This is just...terrible. Concept isn't bad, I suppose, but I am being pretty much perfect, yet only getting a single star on even the easiest bloody pizza. What, three 100's isn't good enough even for a SECOND STAR? The freakish precision you're expected to have is dumb as hell for a 5 point badge.
I enjoyed this, though there are some interface issues. Can get a bit repetitive, but then what RPG/Manager games don't. Great if you enjoy this type of game.
