Cute and fun. A bit on the easy side... and the poison arrow is pretty worthless (at least if you have any interest in getting all the stars.) Could use a few badges. *hint hint*
This game was great until it wasn't. I really liked where it was going, but...
#1 You can't include ranged enemies in a sudden death challenge level with no real way to dodge the incoming shots effectively. It would have been fun to maybe have one or two to challenge your dodging ability but to have a swarm of them? No.
#2 Level-limiting your skills per the stage? No. Imagine playing Final Fantasy, getting to a cave that's a bit too hard, going and getting some EXP only to come back and have the cave say "Nope, too strong. I'll just take that EXP and hold onto it for you while you get your ass kicked." Pass.
#3 While the AI vs AI stages are neat, they're boring after a while.... ESPECIALLY when you've maxed you character's level (that the stage allows, at least....) and you still have to try it 6 or 7 times. I would just click the button and go get a snack. That's not playing a game, that's watching a video.
2 stars. Awesome concept, but terrible mechanics.
No. No, this is TERRIBLE. I can't believe this is Badge of the Day. I'm skipping it. I never, ever one-star anything, but I'm one-starring this pile of crap.
I'll just wait for tomorrow for the Kongpanion. This is dumb.
For someone wanting something casual and entertaining to play after work, this game hits the mark in a lot of great ways. Hardcore gamers might not love it, but I think this game does what it was intended to and does it really well. Five stars.
The second half is what kills this game. It's actually possible to create an impossible scenario for the second half if you pass the hourglass in a certain way when you're going forward.
Any game that can force the layer to restart from the beginning isn't fun at all.
