I think it would be pretty cool if healing items like the med kit and the healing staff slowly un-charred burnt ragdolls and thawed out frozen ones as they heal them.
There's a lot of stuff that could be changed/fixed but still a pretty okay game. You need to move faster for sure and you also need to be able to go all the way right. You can move left until the Reddit Alien is only half on the screen but you cant even touch the right side of the screen. Also, downvotes need to be more frequent, seeing as there were times that I waited more than 30 seconds for a single downvote to appear. There is a whole lot of stuff you could add as well if you ever decide to update this or make a sequel, like Upvotes for instance. They could act as a power up that makes you move faster or make you temporarily immune to downvotes. For visuals I'd think it'd make more sense for Trolls to be the ones shooting downvotes instead of fellow infuriated Reddit Aliens. There's a lot that can be done better, but I cant say I didn't have fun with it. 3/5 for you good sir/madam!
I think this will be a pretty good game once you get all the stuff you mentioned in the dev notes implemented in, though there were two things that weren't in your dev notes that I think could be changed. The first is the inability to block, you need to add blocking for sure. The second is the movement speed. The characters are slower than a snail in molasses. Could you make the characters move a little faster or add a run ability? One thing that I thought was cool and unique about it was the Crimson brothers Character Select art, how when Brice is highlighted it has Adrians silhouette and vice versa. Anyways, once you get it spruced up some it'll be great!
Thanks for the feed back, blocking was in the initial plans just time constraints again. and I'm glad you liked the character art (what there is of it) I'm not an artist so tried my best ha.
any where yeah cheers again all things noted for if i get time to revisit this
Well, I think this could be a really good game but there are some pretty big flaws that need some fixing. 1) You need to have the "How to" controls at the beginning to either disappear when the player presses a button or make them stay on screen MUCH longer. I had to die 4 times just to learn the controls! 2)Let us keep our shield up! Instead of having it be a "after so long you put your shield down" kinda thing, let the player keep their shield up as long as x is held. 3) The game gives no hints on how to get past the blue blocks! My first instinct is to hit them with the sword with Z like the controls say, but you don't start with the sword. The sword is behind those blue blocks! I think the game has potential and I want to like it, but right now there's just too much wrong with it.
Yet another hero who uses all his strength to rocket boxes across the room instead of gently pushing them onto the switches lol. Really loved it but I kinda had trouble getting through doors with the full mouse controls. Anyways, 5/5!
The Sprint button should be remapped to somewhere like spacebar. Trying to hold the E key while using the WASD keys just doesn't feel natural at all. The same goes with the Quake attack as well. Trying to move Left and use the Quake at the same time is nearly impossible because of the A and Q keys being so close together. I would suggest the Quake attack being used by pressing the S key in midair or a key that isn't so close to your movement controls. Other than that, I can see this game being a really good one once its finished! Keep up the good work!
Could you possible add an indicator to show which spot the bloons are going to come from at the start of a level? That way people like me don't accidentally put towers at the end of a stage instead of the beginning like they wanted...
I don't even know if Slender Man is even in the game yet and I'm still too scared to look behind me. The music really gives it that creepy feel, as does the fact you can only faintly see in that small circle. Can't wait for the finished version!
The game would be a lot better if you took the time for story development. This is Slenderman we're talking about here, one of the most popular CreepyPasta's there are! His entire existence is based on storytelling. He doesn't just follow you into a basement and kill you, he stalks you first. Gets you paranoid. Then when he knows you know he's following you he feeds off your fear and exploits it by always, ALWAYS making his presence known to you. Then when he's done toying around he makes you disappear or pulls out your entrails and hangs your husk in the trees. The game needs the ambiance of fear and the ability to make the player think "Am I going to die here?" when they make a questionable choice to be truly successful. This doesn't have that, so sorry. 2/5
I fixed it up, let me know if you like it better! Possibly, if you do like it better, can you rate it five?
