Wow. So, made it all the way to minigun. (Really, Pump Shotgun is your friend.) And died within seconds. Stinks that as soon as you get something good, you get swarmed..
Ok, I have to agree with all the good reviews. Alot of games try too hard to be 'artsy'. This one succeeds. The Dev should get a highfive for this one.
That is the style of the game. Check all the various clones of this type of 'strategy' game out there. They are basically all the same. This one just does it better. 4/5
So my fortress, which is only supposed to have 3 land batteries, and 1 torpedo launcher, currently has the equivilant of 6AA guns, 12 arties, and 6 Torpedo launchers.
Glitch report: At least, I think it's a glitch. Build a fortress.. build up another 6k resource, then build another. now you can build 2 batteries per space. Build another, x3. Another, x4....and so on. Game breaking, since those can reach the enemy base with ease...
If the ship zerging is that much of a problem, try max out the number of land based batteries you have before mounting a serious offensive. With 5-6 of those guns, the only thing you really have to worry about is Flagships and subs..
Stop complaining about the AI ShipZerg. It's fairly predictable.. once you damage the enemy base enough, it does that as a 'last ditch' effort type of thing. I mean, think of how easy the game would be without that one good rush ^-^
Not that hard. Hit 6k feet the second time actually trying to get the achievment. Just holding steady, and hitting the rockets when the speed dipped under 100 worked well enough.
4/5. Kinda easy.Japan only took 31 turns to conquer (playing as Kagoshima) and without using green giants, had the Mysterious islands captured by turn 48. (Samurai Zerging!) Otherwise a pleasent diversion... which is all games are meant to be ^-^
Ladybright: What I did was rush straight for the objective, and upgrade the offense/Defense buffs from the Fortress. In every battle, drop two towers, and use a couple men to delay the third row. (make sure you leave yourself enough reinforcements to take out their Hp afterwards)
It took a few tries, but that's the strategy that finally got me through it.
