Beautiful game, but the combat implementation is piss-poor. Combos are both too easy to complete and the hit registration is terribly spotty, it's alright in easy mode, but in hard mode you frequently swing THROUGH a target only to have it suddenly go "Oh, your combo's done, my turn" and then combo-lock you into a corner.
Was an awesome game, even though about 2/3 of the way in the difficulty curve if you're a fire mage is completely non-existant. Once you learn all of the clan specific magical abilities you just race to 90 power and drop a 600+ point nuke.
And if they happen to shield through it or paralyze you? You just cast it again next turn using your glorious 800pt mana pool and all of their arms and legs blow off and land fourty feet away.
I one-shotted every last one of the five mages at the end. Of course, the entire time I was quietly replaying the John Irenicus speach in the back of my head :D
Note to developers - If you're going to make a game that you can play with a mouse, MAKE IT PLAYABLE WITH A F*CKING MOUSE, none of this shit where your cursor goes off the screen and suddenly you're totally incapable of moving until you get your cursor back on the screen
Ridiculously easy.
Also, its bugged such that if you hit button #3 on your keyboard with any class other than the healer, it triggers the group heal, even if its on cooldown :D
Revenge waves are -SUCH- f*cking bullshit
I just had something like -40- archers literally roll my entire f*cking army, they just walked forward and killed every last one, not a single unit could push forward through the hail of arrows because I hit them so hard it triggered a triple revenge within 2-3 seconds... Seriously either put a cooldown on that shit, or limit the units to the maximum they can 'normally' have out at once.
Survival - Flame Blocks are your friend at the start. I drop 5 facing the portals, then build a 2-1-2 of Flames on the bottom and an eye in the middle. Leave a space and then drop another forward facing tower of fires. This gets things rolling pretty smoothly, once you have a bunch of cash, start filling in the rear section of the middle pillar with digesters, then a full tower of digesters at the back. If you get really rich, start swapping out some of the flames for cannons (which are lower single target, but really keep the swarm in check)
You might want to nerf grabbers a little bit. The game becomes trivial once you get your hands on them, they're so cheap that you can put together a 5 stack in the first 30 seconds or so, and once you have two stacks its basically game over for the mobs. (Bosses are a bit of an issue, but since they come in late, you can basically roll the whole army, then sell your grabbers for something bigger, like the flame launchers or digesters.
Please take a serious look at the crafting system, or just remove it from the game. Its -impossible- to keep up to the rising material costs. (I was level 14 before I managed to get to 9th level crafting, and at this rate I'll be at least level 25 before I even got -close- to level 15 crafting... and its just going to get worse from there)
Game's too easy to break.
Boosters + Rockets + Band Length
Get as high as you possibly can in one go and then red-line your jets in either direction to get maximum HORIZONTAL velocity (not vertical) and then just walk away from the screen. My hedgehog has been @ 25000 feet for the last half hour while I was doing the accounting @ work LOL.
I stand by my previous statement bloor. Evasion is completely broken and worthlessly buggy. Not only does a listed 20% evasion provide less than a 5% actual dodge chance. But combat mechanics are so ****ed that a mob with a 50% hit chance hits just as often as a mob with an 85% hit chance. Damage and confusion are overpowered, healing and defense are totally worthless, you can basically glue a lion tail to a wolf and ride it all the way to T3. (And besides, your untold number of exclamation points doesn't exactly prove your arguement)
Whoever coded the math for this game needs a free kick in the face. I'm CONSTANTLY missing @ >80% and the enemies are CONSTANTLY hitting me @ <10% of the time with a 50% chance to hit, and I miss close to half the time with an 87% hit)
Random loot drops aren't random, totally rigged. I've played through as two classes now, and I've gotten 4X as many drops for the OTHER classes than I get for my main class. I literally saw 8-10 purple pieces drop for the archer when running my mage... and when running my hunter, saw only one (and yet saw 4-5 mage drops which I never saw AS) the mage... And I lost track of how much bloody warrior crap dropped... I think I saw 20 epic warrior helmets... I was collecting them for sh*ts and giggles at one point.
BUG > You're totally F*CKED if you kill the monster in the cave but don't loot the piece of the whateveritis. The monster doesn't spawn again, even if you retake the quest, and if you can't complete the quest, you can't go past the bridge... Thus 1/5 for me for now
*pelvic thrust* 740M, will be awfully difficult to beat that one, I didn't take a single hit the entire time. It really helps if you understand how the adrenaline bar and the different shields work.
600M!
Moving up in the list nicely now, there's basically only one time you should ever use your super move... and that's if you're totally screwed and about to lose your bonus. I actually died twice, thought my score was going to be crap this time... and got to the last level and realized I was doing pretty bloody well...
