The “get the guard to leave his/her post” is a good example—intimidating, seducing, bribing, convincing are all valid approaches, and most characters would not be equally good at all of them. I think that’s often something a GM works into the game though, based somewhat on stats. Making a mechanic that feels realistic on various levels is especially challenging. show less

Deep time, those MA long slogs though primeval chronology, are a way harder to sell and harder to empirically verify. show less

Aug 28, 2010 9:44am thought you would find this interesting (if you weren’t following it already) also just wondering, when they take this data how do they factor out the external gravitational pull of the moon? for that matter the acceleration of the instrument itself. must be some headache inducing math involved. show morethought you would find this interesting (if you weren’t following it already) also just wondering, when they take this data how do they factor out the external gravitational pull of the moon? for that matter the acceleration of the instrument itself. must be some headache inducing math involved. show less

The moon, I’m not sure. Possibly take 2 readings of each area to cancel the moon out. I am interested in what they learn of the density driven deep ocean currents though, hadn’t though of using gravitation to read those. show less

I suppose its plausible that you can treat the moon as a point source and calculate out its gravitation. less time consuming than redundantly going over each area. show less

May 5, 2010 3:58pm hello! I haven’t seen you as much recently, but I’ve also been off Kong a lot. I am mostly using the non-mod account in chat these days. Anyway, I hope you’re doing well and we get a chance to talk soon.

May 6, 2009 7:29pm I recently updated my game Neon Warrior. and hopefully made it more clear of how to play and what to do. check it out. there will be updates to imprve other things sometime soon as well. and by the way the instructions can be found in the title page after clicking the bottom button. like how it was previously.
