Had the "game" up, went to sleep and so did my laptop - No progress. This is an awful Idle game.
All Idle games are awful; Why do Kongregate keep giving them badges? But this is especially awful because I can't even idle it by putting my frigging laptop in sleep mode with the game up!
This game gave me nightmares when I was 15, in 2012, and is the one game I think about the most since then.
11 years later, I met someone who mentioned a "spooky pixel-based game about nightmares blahblah", and I namedropped Deep Sleep. We're now best friends.
Without a doubt, this is the game that have impacted my life the most, which is crazy.
I don't LIKE the game - but if you like this type of game, you could probably do worse. Giving it a high rating because you can get all badges relatively easily and quickly. Here's hoping the new Kong won't go in and give this another 100 badges.
Badge progress for the easy badges doesn't seem to work, at least not when playing on hard. (And their descriptions doesn't say anything about them only working on easy-mode)
I remember playing this quite a few years ago! It's a shame there seems to have been some bad badges before, cuz this game doesn't deserve this low a rating.
The game gets kinda OK after a while, but the badge-difficulties are really wack. Having these badges as BOTD is insane!
I have a real playtime of 6.5 days, and a In-game playtime of 19.5 - and I JUST NOW, this very minute, reached Guild Level 20!
I could probably have cut one or two days off of that time, but having this badge as Badge Of The Day is ridiculous! It being "Easy" is also ridiculous!
Back when badges actually had some thought behind them, some badges that were easy were bumped up to at least medium if they took a long time. There is an easy badge for Guild level 5 - which is reasonable - Guild Level 20 being the same difficulty makes no sense!
Okay, so to get the easy achivement you need to get the Arena first, which you do after battle 30. Meanwhile the Medium achivement is to defeat battle 20.
These new achivements frigging sucks.
How do you build the Clan Buildings? Our clan should have enough resources for the command center, but the button is still grey.
There is this "Exchange rating for diamonds" which some ino ur clan speculate need to be at 1000 to be able to build the clan center. But it isn't at the "improvement requirement", so it's unclear. It's also been stuck at the same level for a looong while. If it is necessary, how do you get those things (and what does the exchange rating even mean)??
First, you need to gather resources (hammer icon under the clan flag on the info page) and clan experience (lightning icon in the same place). The first building to construct is the Command Center, as it will unlock access to other buildings.
I have a lot of opinions on Kongregates new way of badging things.
But I'll not let that influence this comment -
I'm positively surprised by this game. Yea, I've only killed one dragon, but I still want to commend you for making this game feel like one of high quality, atleast in the start. The Narration helps with that A LOT, great job.
If I have one little wish so far - it would be to let the Narrator keep talking when entering a battle. I want to hear the narrators beautiful voice, but I also want to start killing enemies as soon as possible, so it's a bit sad I can't do both.
There's a lot of clicking to get rewards. Click somewhere to go to a place where you click even more to claim rewards, then click somewhere else to go to another place where you once again click a lot of buttons to claim rewards.
Some Claim all-button would be nice
What's up with the 30 ACHIVEMENTS
Glad to see new achivements for sure, but this is a bit much!
As for the game, well, it's not the worst. Not my cup of tea tho'.
Doubt I'll get far enough to where I'll have to pay but I do see the option here - and if the reason these games have 30 achievements is because they have microtransactions I am extremely disappointed in Kongregate. With the obscene amount of Achievements, it kinda feel like that's the case, honestly
Nice game! Hoping for a sequel!
Experienced a bug where the game wouldnt let me smash the small glass bottle with the hammer. Worked after starting a new game though, where I did stuff in a way different (and way more efficient) order.
But still 5/5 from me, just thought you wanted to know!
If you are having trouble getting the badge, there is a bug that can help a lot. If you lose all your lives (Game Over) and restart the level, the counter of candies, cogs, etc. doesn't reset, making it possible to get 'all' cogs and screws without actually collecting every one.
You might have to get to the last area in the level, though...
Anyway. Great game, even now in 2013.
