Nice game concept and fine AI. Human interface however could be better. When it asks for a decision then it could display the factors like costs and odds before deciding, not later with "replan" buttons. Also, sometimes the progress bar does not go away. Then it hides other things like force counts and some buttons at same place. Either fix it or move it to somewhere else.
Europe is possible to beat with less than 24 turns. AI behaves somewhat predictably, so avoid battles with even odds, bait it into bad battles. Most difficult is start. Once you learn to free France with 5 turns then rest of it is lot simpler. Grab other territories as fast you can and send the airlifts to allies otherwise they die off too quickly.
5/5 for being best business starting simulation on this site. The monsters are nicely made. This is hard to get it going at start. Lack of budget, weak supply lines, empty or overfilled warehouses and unforgiving clients make it interesting challenge. On the other hand most players here do not expect a game with so hard start. Definitely make version 2 with better breeding laboratory feel and inventory management.
@Joagox: Hard is Easy? I can't find that badge on
your profile. My experience's: Doable. Maxing the
helicopter crew in all is pointless. Have maxed
Offense skill, two with Leadership, two with Science.
Building and Scavenging skills level 6 are plenty.
Take small town. Pay attention to the number of
surrounding zombies. Keep it low. Kill them.
When it is low then reclaim more territories.
Zombies stay away of area for one turn after killing.
Do not rush with unqualified if specialist will
be available next turn. Recruit or scavenge as 1 person
mission and only safe areas, reclaim with up to two,
kill with how many is needed. Pointless missions:
tending farms, sitting on guard duty, preaching,
bartending and training.
Great game.
However ... there is a CHEAT defect with inventory.
Dragging item from equipment slot on top of item in inventory swaps the items without checking if the inventory item is valid for that equipment slot.
As result you can wear body armor as helmet or boots and weapons in your ring slots. That turns the game bit simpler than it was designed ... I suspect.
Starting from difficult prefecture:
Take Soldier Laboratory. Build Archers and Knights and some Defenders.
Do not rush into attacking others unless they weaken each other with early attacks.
If you do, avoid leaving weak forces anywhere, better leave a prefecture empty.
If someone attacks your main army then use Zeus strategy immediately and turn your forces to act at will. At day 14 attack weakest neighbor with it and make Gigantic Magnet Field there.
At day 15 you have a Green Giant. With that army you can take out other prefectures at low losses (avoid ones with Barricade or Cannon) one after other.
It is buggy. Some holes generate nothing. The game sometimes hangs up. After i win (clean all the Australia) then nothing noteworthy happens.
Innovative idea. Fix the bugs and rebalance it. Also do not leave player who has won with nothing further to do.
